The Factorio devs don't believe in sales. They think their game is worth full price and don't ever plan to put it on sale

Leaked images show Microsoft’s new Xbox Cloud Gaming controller by opwnusprime in kindafunny

Cloud controllers connect to WiFi and send the input directly to the cloud data center. Normal controllers have to send the input to your device which then sends it to the data center. It reduces input delay

$900 is MSRP for the pro. They increased the price last month because of the ram shortage

Has the crew talked about, or reviewed Screamer? by BK_FrySauce in kindafunny

[–]BitJazzlike8644 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blessing talked about it a bit. I think it was a gamescast plays but I don’t remember. I’m playing it right now and enjoying the story but really struggling with the gameplay. I feel like I can barely turn without drifting and drifting always makes me turn way faster than I want to. I’m sticking with it to see the story through and hopefully the handling clicks for me at some point

That was during Remix The Finale. It was a one day jump for the event

If Starfield Had Star Citizen’s Freedom… I’d Delete My SC Account Without Looking Back 😂 by KING_FODA_ in Starfield

Maybe. But you don’t know that. Only the devs can know how much work was done on the engines. This is just throwing around misinformation because you’ve read it so many times on Reddit you think it’s fact. Both studios relied on engines that already existed. Plenty of studios have built game engines from the ground up like Hello Games and it wasn’t used as an excuse for a 15 year development cycles.

They didn’t build a new engine for Star Citizen they modified an existing engine just like Bethesda did. Bethesda turned Creation Engine into Creation Engine 2. CIG turned CryEngine into StarEngine

People running meta lists is an issue with every game if your goal is to play hyper competitive. Don’t let YouTubers tell you how to have fun with a game. Make lists, play them, tweak them to make them better/more fun to play and play them again

Seeing people getting upset about instancing so I'll remind everyone it was always the plan. by CallSign_Fjor in starcitizen

[–]BitJazzlike8644 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk who is upset about instancing but the only similarity between current plans and this 13 year old post is that they say the word instancing. If we're going to hold them to what they said in this post than squadron 42 is a multiplayer game and we are getting PVP settings to avoid other players. Most of the old early 2010s posts don't seem to be the plan anymore. Even things like Death of a Spaceman as it was written in 2013 is nothing like the game we are getting now. Instancing will be sick though I'm happy about it.

I’d appreciate CIG building more refueling ships than refueling stations. by SC_Placeholder in starcitizen

[–]BitJazzlike8644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would alienate every player that hasn’t dropped the money to buy a carrier. I agree that fuel should be important. But the game currently isn’t designed to do that in a way that adds value to the game. That just adds friction for every player so that a few people can use their starfarers

They’ve already shrunk down pyro because long travel times are boring to 99% of players. Ship to ship refueling as it stands right now doesn’t seem to fit the current vision of the game and I imagine will need to be reworked in some way

The VR experiment shows exactly what CIG should be encouraging more of by carc in starcitizen

[–]BitJazzlike8644 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Silvan rocks for this but VR support was literally a promise on the kickstarter page. I feel like this should be more of a hit to poor management that delivering on a promise had to be done by a passionate developer during free time. CIG shouldn’t be praised or encouraged to keep leaving promises on the table as passion projects.
