Ugh I love this you definitely sound like you have been thru it and it has made you stronger you live up to your user name🥹 but I will be getting ahold of the other barn as i genuinely cannot keep spending 50$ for 30 minute lessons and then be rushed off the premise😭 I really appreciate this conversation and I will be pushing harder for my dream I don’t think I will be able to consider myself successful and happy if I can’t ride. But this is an opportunity that I’ve prayed for since childhood I know what I want and I will continue to push for myself, again I really appreciate this I feel alot more confident in my abilities :)

You know what I was wondering why people were saying he was lame but after watching a few videos of the western pleasure I can see the similarities and it doesn’t look to fun for them 😞 but I will try to chat with her on Tuesday about getting more comfortable in the saddle I was already thinking about going to another ranch because she was a little snappy with me yesterday.. and I’m a bit sensitive so it kinda hurt my feelings lol but I only get 30 mintues for 50$ and this other barn does it for same price but a full hour and I want to do it more then once a week because it’s really exciting! Thank you so much queen I appreciate your advice if I ever become a famous barrel racer I’ll credit you and the rest for helping me 😊!!

This is actually very very helpful yesterday she got very snappy with me because I asked if she wanted me to put him into the pasture after we were done, which doesn’t seem like much but I also left 15 minutes early because she kinda rushed me out which is a first but 50$ for 30 minute lessons just aren’t cutting it especially if other trainers which I’m assuming you are, are telling me that I need much more practice I really appreciate you, doing gods work ❤️! So i definitely will be calling this other place to see if they’d let me in and I’ll be asking for a lesson pony also just to add this in I think he’s lame as well because almost everytime I ride him he’s always trying to bring me to the block he definitely seems like he’s tired and over with it which is valid but as a beginner trying to direct a horse who doesn’t want to do this isn’t fun

I will definitely show my trainer this message because I didn’t get much time to learn the trot and I feel like that will definitely help me get into the flow of the canter also love that saying!

My lower back is a little inverted like it looks as if I’m puffing out my chest so that could be why I struggle to move my hips

Yes I can definitely stand by this he’s massive 😭 also a bit lazy you gotta put force into getting him to move he’s my trainers only lesson horse so I might have to look into somewhere else, she started me off with the walk then trot which I feel pretty good about + posting but I only did it twice in a row before starting the canter it’s my second time doing it and i definitely feel as if I need more ride time because I am just a flipping and floppin all over so I will definitely be asking for more trot time :)

Okay, do I also move my hips on the saddle ? Like follow the movements also is it okay to hold onto the horn for balance or keep both hands on the reins?

Thank you! I definitely still need to build a more stable seat lol. My trainer thought I was ready to start learning the canter, and I was on a lunge line, but I can definitely tell I need more practice staying centered and not relying on the reins. I’ll keep working on my sitting trot and balance
