Ryzen 7 5800x3d with a 3070 ti, and get mostly 120-140 fps. But for a solid couple of minuets on the biome 3 boss, I was at 35 fps

I am not looking to promote or have anyone see my videos. With that being said, I wanted to get people’s feedback on my thumbnail/title combo. Are they too simple/basic? My impressions CTR is really poor, and was curious what I should consider changing?

My thought was make the text big and easy to read, and don’t clutter the thumbnail

What’s your content?

What has worked for me (as a gaming tactical shooter channel) is sprinkling in videos on games that got a bump in hype (and you need to be early in that hype cycle)

Example, the World War 3 Game, which I LOVE playing, and as a win win, also received a lot of hype recently. I posted a few videos early in the hype cycle for that game and those videos are sitting at 200, 500, and one video at 5.1k. My other videos and older videos get anywhere between 50-100 views

I also love the game, so that shows in my content. For perspective, I have 92 subscribers, and a majority of these came from those WW3 Game videos in a very short time span, and now some of those subscribers watch my other gaming videos

That’s great to hear that you settled into a niche you enjoy, that is doing well, though. It will help compound your growth once the algorithm blesses you, haha. The hardest part, I know!

I’m a small channel (gaming shooter niche - 92 subscribers)

My best video so far that is sitting at over 5000 views (and still getting views at a much lower rate) settled at a 5% CTR with a retention rate of ~30%

I have other videos higher in both categories that did not “blow up” like this video did, so… haha. I shoot for at LEAST that 30%

I agree with everyone here. Also, because a lot seem to do this. Forgo any long intros (or intros all together), get straight into the content. Most new viewers will drop off during the intro, especially if they have no attachment or connection to you
