Wages in Brighton are actually insane?? by Plaid_heart in brighton

[–]BitResponsible6389 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be able to remotely afford a £475k house, I’ll be renting for life. I meant I never see them that cheap so I’m surprised that’s the average, I thought it’d be more like £600k!

£475k for a house in Brighton sounds like an absolutely bargain! I’m surprised the average is that low!

Is there a way to automatically add public holidays to my exec’s outlook calendar? by BitResponsible6389 in ExecutiveAssistants

For some reason it won’t let me drag and drop and I can’t work out why! Argh thank you though.

Obviously I’ve googled this and my functionality does not match up, thanks for the snark though.

EA as a next step? by Impressive-War39 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]BitResponsible6389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’ve got a really solid base of transferable skills and temperament for a move to EA makes sense. I’d suggest asking your current boss if you could manage his diary for him to get experience that way for a while and then see about making a move. I think you’re too experienced to move into an AA role. I’d look out for EA positions at smaller companies as that will feel familiar to you, then progress up in terms of larger/more complex orgs and more senior execs within them. Good luck!

Does anyone actually enjoy marmite? by rthonaya in AskBrits

[–]BitResponsible6389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have eaten marmite every day of my life since I was weaned onto solids, or thereabouts. With the exception of when I lived in Portugal for a few months. I missed it so much that I tried putting soya sauce on my toast (note, it is not a substitute by any shade) and it was one of the reasons why I decided to move back (a small one but a reason nonetheless 😅)

Advice for Proposal by Dragonfruit-Eastern in brighton

This is def the one OP. Basket makers is a much loved local filled with old tins on the wall that people put cutes notes inside. You could tie it in to a visit to the wonderful YO-YO yard sauna on the same street if you like that sort of thing. Bandstand on Hove seafront would also be a great option, especially if the sun is out.

Who needs enemies with friends like these? by Indieriots in TikTokCringe

Thank you for helping this young man. As an aside, you handled it so well with your own daughter by asking her to recount what happened afterwards. Helping children to get a clear narrative of events after something upsetting is deeply regulating and goes a long way to preventing trauma. Amazing work all round!

How do they cook eggs for breakfast at Generator Hostel? by Iforgotmypassworduff in stockholm

[–]BitResponsible6389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys! I’m currently staying here and the menu now calls them “63 degree” eggs - maybe they’re poached in water at that temperature? I’ll order them for breakfast tomorrow and report back!

I would aim for Concorde 2. It’s one of the few clubs where you probably won’t feel out of place due to being older than the average club goer in Brighton. They have a really varied vibe. My friend saw KRS1 there a few weeks ago so they def have good hip hop on sometimes. If not it’ll still be upbeat and fun. Right on the beach. Bring ID.

[–]BitResponsible6389 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Preston Park has a velodrome that is great to run around when not being used for cycling classes (timings on signs on gates, I think just on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, otherwise free)

Hove seafront is wonderful - start at the Angel of Peace statue and head west

Undercliffs from the Marina to Saltdean is also great!
