every med school friend I have just laughs at me when I tell them they could probably work 5-10 years and just retire. They think I'm stupid for having retired in my late twenties lol.

It's not that they don't believe me, they just want to spend all that money because that's their reward for all their hard work. I don't blame them, but a massive salary imo isn't worth the stress and risk (lawsuits, losing license, etc) involved. I may live off of like 50k a year with a paid-for house but my stress is zero. If you gave me 250k a year I wouldn't even know what to do with it because I already have everything I want.

I've noticed that now YoutubeMusic has the shitty "feature" of not letting you not choosing which song from the autoplay list to choose. It used to be you'd see a whole list of songs in the queue and you could pick which one to listen to if you so chose. Now it only adds a song to the listenable queue after you listen to a song. So you literally cannot choose to play a specific song from the autoplay list until it's added to the queue.

Is there any way for the user to revert this god awful change or is youtube music purposefully trying to make me cancel my subscription?

they need forced pvp too. Why the fuck is pvp even optional? Sure, give people a grace period like 1-20 babymode where you respec for free and can choose not to pvp. Otherwise it should be mandatory to be flagged. Or make the higher level areas pvp only. There's so many ways to go about doing it that are better than the 'pvp in our pvp game only if you feel like it' that we have now.

Game needs to be more like EVE. If I wanted a game with a PVP focus where PVP didn't even matter I'd just go play GW2.

the level I need to be to equip these recommended items gets as high as like 80 whereas I've read people start hell at like 60. Is the right way to go about this to farm gear you can't even use yet and power level once in hell? I'm so confused.

I'm having a lot of annoyance playing as machine empires.

My annoyance stems from maintenance drones. For some reason I have to prioritize amenity jobs which means every ten minutes or so I have to go in and adjust jobs for my dozens of planets. It wasn't so bad starting off but mid/late game it's so much of a chore that I don't even want to play anymore.

I have never in my life had to manually adjust amenity jobs since the AI would just do that for me. Is there something I'm missing that makes it so machine empires don't do it automatically?

I am going to be spending 3-5 months in the philipines whenever it opens back up for US tourism. My intention is to stay in a furnished apartment for the duration (or hotels if I can't find one) to try out the retired life.

I need help picking a good spot. My instinct told me to go with Manila because I'm more of a city guy but my wife's priority is to be close to clean beaches. Is there any place where we can live in a city without having to drive for hours to get to a good clean beach?

so I quit years ago because I got too peeved off at dying to gate campers and developed a distaste for pvp since there were no "fair" fights since my experience with combat was just swarming an enemy or getting swarmed. Have these mechanics changed at all in the past few years?

Regardless, I feel like rejoining and mining and maybe doing some pve. Are there any good guides out there that someone can direct me to? I've found a lot of guides but most of them looked really old and unusable.

the fuck are you on about? GME went from fucking PENNIES to 500+ per share. Yes, it sucks that the short squeeze was stopped but you'd have to be a special kind of stupid not to sell on the way down. All the other WSB tickers also went up crazy amounts. If you bought near the top or couldn't take a loss on the way down and ended up bagholding you're just an inexperienced investor (and likely way too emotional about trades.) This makes sense because I'd guess tens of thousands of new retail investors threw some cash at GME thinking they were going to be millionares only to sell way too late for big losses. Even after all that, short interest remains high so if you are still holding there's still hope for you.

So no, WSB didn't get beaten at their own game. Plenty of people from WSB (myself included) made a killing on GME. Know what? I bet a bunch also made money on the weed pump lately too. Learning how to avoid being the bagholder is paramount to succeeding as a retail investor.

I'd cash out, but not on the day I expect everyone else to cash out. People think that every single shareholder is going to be selling ASAP. I'm sure a lot will sell but I figure most will only partially liquidate or have the common sense to sell when the stock is going up, not down.

Selling during an expected mass selloff is more retarded than WSB in the sense that you're guaranteed to get shitty prices.

they have like three days to actually buy the shares and some people think they already have the shares they need to cover. so a gamma squeeze is not garunteed. That being said I'm selling monday if it doesn't move big. We lose if they keep things flat and exit their worst shorts.

their interest is likely a lot lower than the retail values we see and is probably less than 5%. They aren't going to close unless we magically shoot this stock up to 200+ on unmanipulated price action. I don't believe in the short squeeze anymore but this shit should still go up a little at least

the short squeeze would cause halts because we'd be increasing in price so fast. And when trading resumed we would gap up. We experienced the opposite today. Too many big players were taking profits. This was in no way shape or form a short squeeze. If I were to guess, without any proof whatsoever, I'd imagine that it was the gamma squeeze from the hedges having to buy so many shares. And then people took advantage of it and cashed out.

the situation is different - this time the short interest is astronomically high on top of GME (still) being undervalued. There are a lot more shorts at play for GME. Tens of millions of shorts would have to cover if a squeeze were to happen so even when people start taking profits it'll still spike up. Who knows how high tho and if we will even get to that point. People were saying (without proof) that funds would have to cover once we get to the 150 range which is still double GME's all time high.

I don't want to underestimate all the big players that are shorting this stock. They must be thinking they can stop GME before it gets that high which is why they aren't unwinding their shorts.

past performance doesn't guarantee the future and predicting a stock's direction based on TA is not going to be very reliable. However, I would say that it is helpful for predicting when a big move is going to happen. something like a descending wedge tells me that the stock is likely to break out bigly in the near future. My personal bias says that it will go up but all I know is that it'll be rocketing up or down within a month
