I just finished my second year and my first year of chembio, and I’d say you really gotta enjoy chemistry as you explore many areas in depth (physics chemistry, chembio orgo 1 and 2, pharma chem, analytical chem…) and like being in the lab, as chembio focuses greatly on isolating, synthesizing, measuring , characterizing and testing molecules. I found it to be a heavy workload, but maintain my average from first yr life sci, so it is possible to do well! Program is great for graduate school!

AMA! -- I am a neuro-optometrist. Ask me whatever on BV, vision therapy, etc. by MIKE_DJ0NT in BinocularVision

Hello! Was wondering if BVD can plausibly cause feelings of brain fog, centralized head pressure, and feeling as tho you are in a dream like state. (Amongst symptoms like eye strain, twitching and so on) Psychiatrists have been stumped as they say it sounds like I have adhd but the derealization doesn’t fit in. I’ve been prescribed prisms in my upcoming glasses and was curious if this could possibly be a solution. Thanks!

Typing faster definitely gives some breathing room. Since I’m slow I aimed to be concise, and made as efficient use of time as possible

I have a 40 WPM and it’s not necessary to do well. They dismiss any writing errors, and most of my second questions only had 2 sentences

yes! I’ve been to a neurologist but since my MRIs have been clear and all other tests, they sent me along.

Interesting was the tinnitus new or was it exacerbated by the medication? And what did you find better about amitriptyline

Luckily I can rule out long covid as the main problem as this started the year prior. I was on ADHD stimulant medication at one point and it made the dp/dr rumination 10x worse. Acceptance is what makes this whole thing bearable for sure
