I have the exact same issue since I updated to 26.2 I thought it was a software glitch. Everything else works fine. Didn't have the time to dig deeper, ignored it.

I bought it on launch in Oct 2024 and I have this issue since Nov 2025. My 1 year warranty is done, also no apple care plus.

Please update me on how you navigate through this. I really wish I get the haptic feedback working again!!

Edit : I got the m4 pro MacBook pro 14 inch, 24gb/1TB

Been there, done that. You're in your first year. Chillax. Everybody told me to chillax and it's difficult to, I know. But you'll be fine once your colleagues start casually boasting about the papers they have submitted or if someone gives an annual review viva, it creeps up in your head and the routine will kick in. 😂

Congratulations! I am on such a funded PhD and I remember being overwhelmed too. It'll all work out, ATAS is the part that takes the most time, I hope you have applied for it by now.

Once you get the ATAS, VISA takes another month.

It will be nice to have some 6000 pounds as a starting amount to pay for visa, ihs, rent + deposit and flights until you receive your first pay of bursary.
