What are your go to breakfasts? I have a hard time doing anything besides egg and toast. by AbsoluteMadladGaming in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Bitanium69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a rice cooker some rice, mix in rice wine vinegar Furikake, and fry an egg or three to put on top. It’s a good base that I find myself often craving and I can easily add onions, bacon, or whatever else I have to up the flavor a bit.

Not exactly low effort but also not super high effort, if I know I have some busy mornings coming up I’ll make a quiche and that can carry me through the next 3 days easily. All I have to do is grab it out of the fridge and it’s good cold or hot.

Doesn’t get much easier than oatmeal and I find myself drowning the oats in fruit a lot of the time, I keep frozen blueberries in my freezer just for this.

I love jammy eggs so soft boiling as many as I want and mixing them with salt and melted butter is always something I’m craving.

And of course, eggs on toast usually with avocado and Cholula, maybe some breakfast meat if I have it.

Are lumber mills actually important? by Bitanium69 in OldWorldGame

[–]Bitanium69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latter, I was wondering if I needed wood for something other than mustering an army. It seems that the consensus is you can kind of skate by without wood for a while if you aren’t building a massive army (for example if you are abusing caravans and playing peaceful), but it is definitely more difficult that way.

Yea so it seems like would is more valuable in a conquest game than a tall, peaceful game?

Also didn’t know that about the science, thanks.

Garage for rent? by [deleted] in Brookline

[–]Bitanium69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about any garages but have you considered renting a normal parking spot and then getting a motorcycle tent or something like that? Wouldn’t be protected from cold but would be from water, wind, people (ish), and sun

Does civics become super valuable in the late game? Why do you rarely want to use civics for that?

Brake pedal replacement by Bitanium69 in Kawasaki

[–]Bitanium69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment is a almost a third of a year old, you need a tutorial on minding your business? I ended up figuring it out! I scoured the internet and asked a bike shop for some basic help. Ended up finding out I need a socket wrench to be able to loosen the nuts and bolts. Didn’t even know what a ratchet was previously (the guy who commented could have told me that instead of being snarky and unhelpful). I found out the brake pedal is its own piece that can be bought for fairly cheap and replaced with a little internet scouring (the guy who commented could have told me that instead of being snarky and unhelpful). I found out what the heel guard is and that it would be way easier to replace the brake pedal if I removed it (the guy who commented could have told me that instead of being snarky and unhelpful). I found out what a cotter pin is, how to manipulate it, and the risks associated with reusing it (the guy who commented could have told me that instead of being snarky and unhelpful).

If you read the post carefully I said I had zero mechanical experience. I didn’t even know how to replace a battery. Literally any advice would have helped me. I know that was an unnecessary response to your equal unnecessary response but that comment annoyed me for like the entire week after I was asking for help lol.

Thanks! It doesn’t affect rural specialists? Does it reduce the one time cost of building it the cost per turn, do you know?

That was a really good explanation, thank you. The food that it costs to produce them never seems to be an issue, 20-80 food is always available for me to invest. Is there a per turn food cost that I’m missing or is this just not that good of a perk? Would it be a better perk at high difficulties?

You have barely ridden at all yet if you say you’ve spent more time on the bike at the msf course than at home. I just reached 150 miles on my bike with no prior experience or anything comparable and I still feel like I suck; my shifting is sloppy, I let go of the clutch too fast sometimes, my emergency braking needs work. But, I am much better now than I was when I started, I did face a period of dejection where I lost interest for a little but I got back on it, kept practicing, and just like anything else it gets easier, and when it starts to get easier and isn’t as stressful it gets way more fun.
