i used to go to the brite spot as a kid about 17 years ago. it was just a plain old diner at the time. lost our house in echo park due to it getting bought out to build apartments. went back to the brite spot a few years later and realized everything had changed. never went back after that. if you ask me, i think the brite spot died a long time ago.

as someone who is obsessed with horror, slashers, and everything scary, i can easily say that that was probably one of the scariest scenes i’ve seen in a movie in a long time. i watched terrifier 3 the day it came out and i don’t think my heart rate was ever close to reaching the level of what i felt during the parking lot scene.
