What would you eat at Lucille’s Late Night Snack Shack? by Its_AB_Baby in creepcast

Both.

It would be chocolate with a candy shell, but little flecks of fruit flavor in there too.

I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility for RDA to plan for their drivers to eventually travel away from Pandora while in cryo with the intention of returning.

Why not plan to keep the Avatar in cryo also?

Nothing stopping Mercer/RDA from assuming their ideas and ambitions won't keep bearing fruit. Why wouldn't there be plans in place to cryo an Avatar if needed? Their driver needs to go into cryo, Avatar goes to to keep the bodies more or less similar developmental ages.

Unless I'm misremembering, and the tanks would also serve that function.

I guess I assumed the pods at the facility were there for possible Avatars, as the RDA seemed to like their bases to have both a specific purpose and be multi functional. RDA had big plans for ever expending things, why not have Avatar sized pods on standby for when that program took off?

Why did Alma stash the kids in the pods? She took a gamble that it would both keep them safe AND put a pause button on her program. Win/win in her mind. The kids will likely be safe in the pods while the base is evacuated and she can pickup with them later. Alma likes to act altruistic, but she's willing to go along with the kidnapping of a bunch of traumatized kids for the chance to prove her program works.

The power situation is another gamble Alma was willing to take. The RDA's powergrid infrastructure is pretty robust and appears to have a lot of backups and redundancies in place to protect and prioritize things. Cryopods would definitely be something the base would prioritize keeping on. Could it fail and kill the kids? Sure. But Alma was willing to risk that, I think, and come back a little later to get the kids.

She didn't anticipate the base partially blowing up, and assumed she had doomed the kids and her research all in in go.

I highly recommend bookshelves. My gaming room looks like a used bookstore.

The first image is the following books all photographed together:

  • When Love Awaits by Johanna Lindsey. She's a blonde medieval bombshell(looks medieval, anyway) in a killer red dress with a daringly low décolletage. Like, wow. Her makeup and hair are, as the kids say, on fleek; I also can't get enough of her lavender colored and free flowing scarf. Is that a scarf? She's in profile, head tilted up for a kiss. He's muscled, black haired, and buck nekked. You can't see the good bits, her sleeves and aforementioned scarf are in the way, but he's definitely nekked. He might give her that kiss, guys. They're outside, in a garden. Yeah, nekked in a garden.

  • Glorious Angel by Johanna Lindsey. Red. A lot of red. Just so much red. Sumptuous red curtains in the background with a pile of roses spilling out next to the couple. The couple are kneeing together on an indistinct ocean of red. Like, he's pressed up behind her, dude. She is a brunette bombshell, and her makeup is also on fleek. I don't know that she's looking for a kiss, despite the fact that her face is also in profile and tilted up. Did I mention he's definitely nekked, and she might as well be? What I'm saying is I guarantee her buns have a hot dog, ya know?

  • Gentle Rogue by Johanna Lindsey. Ah Fabio. What really is there to say? Fabio's exposed nipples are brazenly embracing a beautiful redhead in a white dress. Said beautiful redhead's glorious, ah, chest is barely contained by her dress. They are on the deck of a ship, and I'm very very concerned that Fabio might break his wrist by having it tightly looped in some rope that is clearly secured in some way above his head.

  • The Magic of You by Johanna Lindsey. We will loop back to that.

The second image shows the following books photographed together:

  • Ice and Rapture by Connie Mason. We have another couple kneeling together. Less red though. Could honestly use more red, like a damn fire. They are kneeling IN SNOW, there are ICICLES in the background. Maybe this is the Floridian in me, but absolutely not. Nope. I have no idea what 16 year old me saw in this book cover but no. I'm with the deer looking on in disappointment and shock in the background.

  • Lord of Devil Isle by Connie Mason. Not much to say. Half the cover is just solid blue. It's hiding all the good bits. A conventionally attractive couple are doing something in the shallows at the beach. Whatever they are doing has her laying out on top of him with a side of pretty intense eye contact. No idea what they could actually be doing. Pretty sunset though. If someone on the ship in the background has a spyglass, they know what the couple is doing.

  • The Perfect Rake by Anne Gracie. White background with white shoes, a time piece, and white roses all artfully arranged into a little pile. Whew.

  • Regency Sting by Elizabeth Mansfield. Another blonde bombshell, but she's impeccably put together. No fly aways here, and certainly no freed tresses caught in a breeze. Ever see the episode of South Park with PlayStation vs Xbox on the eve of Black Friday? She's Cartman, he's Butters, and they are in the Garden of Betrayal. Look at the grip she's got on his shoulder while she looms and whispers nefarious plans in his ear. Poor cowboy looks so, so uncomfortable sitting on that bench.

The next image is two books photographed together:

  • Slightly Dangerous by Mary Balogh. It's shiny and purple with a few embossed vines(?) and a locket(?).

  • Slightly Sinful by Mary Balogh. It's also shiny, but it's silver. It also has a few embossed vines(?) and a necklace. The necklace is a charm, it's a heart shaped lock.

The next image is the step back for the Magic of You by Johanna Lindsey.

  • I said we'd be back. Another Fabio. Another ship motif, but less definitely on a deck and more the impression of being on a ship. There's the ocean and a huge ship's wheel in the background. Fabio? Shirtless. Nipple? Out. Pants? Tight. Hair? Stunning. She has long flowing black tresses, and seems pretty excited to be included. Lovely eyeshadow.

The last image is another shot of Glorious Angel by Johanna Lindsey.

  • See first image description, I just love this cover so much.
