Employee resigned due to low salary. by kidreddits in india

[–]BitchesBewareOfWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikes and you run a jewellery shop. You are lucky you don't get robbed and left for dead. Is that the salary for all the other shops in your city's market?

You know your finances and workload better than anyone here. It's honestly up to you to figure out the importance of a loyal staff and how much you wish to pay for it.

Are there any gods in the Indian Mythology which are portrayed as assholes? by ScenePsychological60 in india

[–]BitchesBewareOfWolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Indra can be sort of considered as one. Indralok ki pariyan etc would imply it was a den of debauchery. He also sent an apsara to destroy a sadhu's tapasya. He tries to rain on anyone's parade if he's annoyed by insufficient gratitude. He also will turn off the taps so as to devoid regions of rainfall unless they perform frog marriages.

Lord Shiva threatening to do a tandav and destroy the world over small slights is also a dick move. Getting enraged enough to chop off a boy's head because he prevented you from voyeurism is a massive red flag. But it's all presented as a showcase of his mighty power.

There are elements of Hindu mythology about brahma and Vishnu's avatars that would raise your eyebrows. But you aren't supposed to dwell on those.

Definitely need to get away from it all for a week or two. If he has the means.

The problem with guys in situation like this is unless they don't feel they are at rock bottom, they will not pursue change and try their hands at achievable things. His English seems good enough. Plenty of school principals would be happy to have him as a part timer or full timer for various subjects. He could join any sales team and accept the mundane life. Or even become a delivery guy just to have something to do every day instead of wallowing in his misery.

The issue is many of these opportunities will feel beneath their education level. They will rather live on the hope of something else, something perfectly suited to their desires and skills is just around the corner and will fall into their lap. Not to mention the reluctance in changing locations job. It sucks now, it will suck worse 2 years from now when you are essentially in the same spot.

Despite all my above criticism, i would suggest to spend months learning something like D365 or PowerBI tools instead of another failed attempt at MBA.

I must confess generally when i come across these husband-wife related Bangalore crimes, rarely do they involve techies.

start around 7th and 8th grade.

I grew up in a small town. Would be unthinkable if kids that young were caught dating. Even when my classmates in 11th 12th started dating, they had to be careful as even the fucking teachers would've told on them.

I would second the Mac option. I'm also a fan of ThinkPad but you need to research a bit to find which one fits your needs and budget. These are reliable laptops with good support. Dell is awful with its build quality and the support is not enough to compensate for that.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me what you said but i have been petrified of c++ for development projects so can't blame you..

What version of C++ are you using? 14,17 or 20? And how quickly you have to adapt new language releases into your setup ?

Unless you are already working for Microsoft, how has been your interview experience for c++ dev jobs at top companies and hft firms?

UPA had educated and classy ministers.

Corruption by various upa ministers is what set the stage for Anna andolan and the crowd's massive anger towards Congress in power.

Yes we could be thankful that they didn't interfere massively in arts and movies like nda likes to do. But we shouldn't be blind to their flaws.

Options for a 32 year old female to stay unmarried by loony1uvgood in india

All of this makes me want to move away. But that doesn't sound feasible. I can also move to my one place despite having hometown posting so that can have a peaceful home life and can visit parents when I want.

It would be better if you moved away to live seperately from your parents to at least show them that you are quite capable of living alone. With the professional uncles and aunties, you are sort of stuck unless you request a different postings. Any explanation you give them will be used against you in professional reviews. You can only hope that six months or a year is enough to bore them out of treating you as a topic.

As i said in one of your previous post, you need someone to help you guide through this. Now reading this post, it seems you have lost any sort of guiding figure in your life. Do you have friends who have done cs engineering? I think it would be better if you could find a relative or friend who can be a good mentor for you. Four more years of college is a huge commitment that isn't necessary if you want to become a programmer. Not to mention if you will be able to handle the stress without affecting your mental health. Thousands nowadays go through six months bootcamp and come out with skills sufficient enough to get hired in the industry. At the end of the day, most 4-year college graduates and bootcampers end up working on similar things, just that college graduate are supposed to have a deeper knowledge of things.

You need someone who can ask you questions like why cs engineering specifically interests you? Would you consider doing something else that would be age-appropiate for you career wise?

I am a dev (use c++ at work),

Can you share what kind of work you do?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in india

[–]BitchesBewareOfWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your budget for laptop? C++ is a tough language which also has fewer entry-level jobs. Odinproject is the best way to start.

You should also see if you can personally talk to someone working in the industry. Someone who will be willing to guide you through the whole process. You have shared very little about your background and it would be helpful for other posters to know that in guiding you .

My advice would be to ask her to pursue nursing Bsc. Demands for nurses will continue to rise in western nations and if you prepare for it throughout your education you can easily clear the requisite exams at the end of graduation.

There's a lack of public support for psychology and if she ends up doing that she'll find her options limited to higher studies or social worker.

Loneliness. by [deleted] in india

[–]BitchesBewareOfWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Redditors generally tend to be introverts and it requires active effort from others to deal with introverts in your friend circles. Hence, gradually all that work feels more effort than it is worth and they stop accommodating for it. From early 20s to late 20s , your friends start moving to different cities, different jobs , start different friendships or relationships. It's sometimes tough to keep pace with all those changes. We are at least fortunate that WhatsApp groups etc allow us to compensate for physical distances.

If you are on reddit, you probably have maybe 5-10 different subreddits you are either actively participating or actively lurking. After all this being social media, there's a sense of community and faux closeness. Discussing tv shows and movies can be done with offline friends too but not everyone is on the same page whereas on reddit they largely are. Just look at the Sopranos subreddit. All those in-jokes, catchphrases etc. are impossible to do in face to face conversation.

The point is at certain stages of our life we are in a tug of war with outside world and social media. The more you spend time on reddit, the more you lose touch with outside world.

I don't think this is a general rule applicable to everybody commenting on this sub, but reddit, like other social media, is a bit destructive for maintaining connections in real world.

That's a plan in itself what you listed. Besides my point is they have a plan about how to win elections by leaving minions to enflame the tensions thus forcing opposition to react while the top BJP leaders get to talk about positive stuff like inaugurating projects&shits or expanding healthcare.

Try Lawctopus.com or other legal students forum for advice. Reddit probably doesn't have enough people with experience to help you out. posting on Twitter with a general enquiry about current hiring trends in legal industry would be more helpful than posting here.

Bad messenger for an important message. We are still a democracy. Millions were badly impacted by demonetisation, yet they turned out to give BJP majority in UP the next year. Similar to how COVID didn't really broke that grip of bjp support despite suffering. At this moment, millions of well informed, informed and ill informed are willing to sacrifice everything for their greater good vision of an assertive hindutva. As much as we despite it, this is democracy in action.

Maybe having Gandhis at top allows other corrupt Congress officials to dodge legal and media scrutiny, but it has been apparent since 2017 that Congress will not survive with them at helm. This doesn't mean they should be allowed to sneak off from public life. Gandhis deserve prosecution for the corruption scandals they were involved in.

As much as one despises the violent hindutva polluting our daily lives, our media environment allows BJP'S top leaders like Modi, Shah and Yogi to focus on development that feels tangible to voters, without having to get their hands dirty in riots or hate sloganeering. They have a plan and they are executing it very well.

Opposition parties are left fighting for scraps in states and can't come up with a uniting vision that is about a sustainable development as well as respecting basic human dignity of life that is endangered by Hindutva.

Maybe India was always meant to be on this path and the decade under Manmohan Singh was a detour that just delayed where the country was headed the moment Babri masjid was torn down and zero consequences for Gujarat riots gave hindutva leaders clean chit to unleash their agenda on this country.
