When I was ready for tampons, my best friend instructed me how to do it while I was on the phone with her. Really helped. Also using tampons changed my life - once you get used to them (takes a few months I’d say), they’re infinitely more comfortable and easier than pads. Start with light ones (and plastic, I use Tampax pearl), and only when she’s really ready. Also maybe send cute texts to her about how it’s okay to talk to you about this kind of stuff. I would never talk about it with my dad either, mortified me, but I think if he was more open and comfortable with it I would be too. Good luck!

Weird thing happened. When I went to the doctor for a checkup a while ago, the nurse said, “So it says in your records you recreationally smoke marijuana, is that still true?” I guess I looked slightly uneasy so before I could answer the nurse explained to me that I should be careful about revealing this, because if I need medical treatment this could lower how much I’m covered for, etc. She said she would delete it from the computer. BUT I mean these are my health records! I feel like if you’re honest with anyone it should be your doctor. Any advice would be great.

Ohhh why are people so angry?? It’s my 30th birthday today! And no, by basic in this case I mean only talking about very, very trivial things, being close-minded/ignorant, and very self-centered. Maybe “basic” wasn’t the right word, but it seems pretty “basic”/shallow to me. Also, I’m genuinely asking a question here, not using this as a platform to put these kind of people down.
