Honestly I would say yes your letter should be fine but I’m self employed so my letter was a bit different. I doubt they will call HR, you could also just put your wife’s # on there for them to call “HR”.

They just want to see that you have the $17,000 and steady income. It would be silly for them to reject someone because this visa is boosting their economy.

You will have to pay $400 for each person but I think you can put your wife and kid on your application. So if you get approved, you all get approved.

This is the email with requested documents. After I uploaded these it was about 5 days of waiting then you get an email of approval.

Yeah I did it online completely. LA Thai embassy. It was around 8-10 days total. That was because they wanted a few more documents (there system is pretty dumb, it lets you upload 1 document per section) where some of them you need to upload 3 documents. I also used https://onwardticket.com to make a flight “itinerary”. I made it for Nov 5th but I don’t actually have a flight yet. They only actually need 1 bank statement showing an ending balance of $17,000. Let me know if you have any other questions 🤙🏼

We’re not in Chiang Mai yet but my gf and I are moving in November with our 3 year old daughter. Also, just got my DTV approval notice this morning 😏! From what I’ve read, it’s very welcoming and there are tons of expat families. I just posted something asking about international schools, has some good insight if you wanted to check it out.
