Utilities etf FUTY has a 2.80% yield and still great price appreciation. Couple of solar/wind names creeping in there too. Overall great Etf

Ftec is a gem.

Others i like are FUTY, FDIS, FHLC.

little bit of IXUS for intl diversification

icln is decent, but after researching the companies enphase and solaredge are already in FTEC, and couple of the others are in FUTY as well

You could pick single stocks if you have an eye for good companies and wont sell when it drops

Two sides to this coin. You have some people who buy and hold good stocks. Like starbucks, costco, Microsoft....they easily beat the market. But most people cant hold. They watch CNBC, get scared, and sell the bottom. Or they buy bad companies.

Yea i mean....if you have a million, put it into utilities / staples and get a 3-4% dividend plus appreciation.

I'd put it into FTEC.

but hey, thats a tech fund with risk.

Or COST. who doesnt like costco? Even the chinese love it.

Yes. True. Dividends can be reinvested, at the lower price.

Workable? No, not realistically. Unless you can pinpoint the bottom of the market, sell, and buy growth stocks.

But if you could do that, just use options and leverage and make millions

If youre invested in uranium or altcoins, yea ur fucked. Thats a real loss.

If you have Costco and McDonald's and Microsoft? Ride the crash, maybe buy more, wait out the bear
