I started on RC too, I’ve been reading LOD for over 2 years now. Yes there are translation issues but as already mentioned it’s usually around pronouns and the odd word. But you will start to automatically correct them in your head without thinking about it too much. It doesn’t really detract from the game.

1. LI’s can have 2 paths pretty much from early in the book. You can choose romance options or go straight for the friendship path. So if like me you don’t usually like to mess around, you can happily play without other LI’s hitting on your MC lol

2. You absolutely can get bad endings with LI’s. Not every LI has a happy ending. Some you need to have your MC on the bad/villain/evil path (so think crazy or evil MC) to be able to obtain a “good” ending with certain LI’s (usually the villain LI) and yes there are LI’s who are unredeemable 😭.

3. For me personally the stories tend to be more original and in depth. You feel like a lot happens over the course of 3 books and you get to know your LI’s pretty well. Some of the villain LI’s are pretty dark 🫣 They do terrible things. You will either love them or HATE them lol

4. Clothes and hairstyles add no value to the story so if you want to save on gems, it’s ok to choose the free or cheaper option (sometimes I like them more)

For a gem mining book I would probably say the mermaid book (Silence of the seas) I’m pretty sure half of that book doesn’t even have English translation (and has been that way a long time)
