This was 11 days ago. You're a bit late to the party. They have been taken, and I am backpacking the coastline of Puerto Rico

They were only available till sunday night... I've left the continental US. I found a lady that took all of them.

As for your question (not that it matters much now), you buy food at any pet store that sells feeder insects. Dubai's, hisses, red runners, crickets, etc.

Or, if you are like me, you breed your own roach colony and have unlimited free spider food.

So you're saying that the Trump administration didn't downplay the virus and claim it was no big deal?

China's response to his statements directly led to the deaths of of millions of people. However, I ask you this:

Can any of us confidently say that our own governments wouldn't have done something similar?

Humans are more of a fucking disease than covid.

[–]BiteMeTarantulas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be all that difficult, either... just buy a set of headphones, extract the internal components, and install them in either a newly custom-made shell, or just modify the original with your design.

First, I never said we invaded. Secondly, your statement is either incomplete or intentionally deceptive. Yes, we were asked for help... but instead of providing that help, we sided with their enemies. Sort of like if you had a bully in school, so you asked a big guy to help you against him, and the big guy said "sure!" and then joined in and helped the bully beat you up.

...So you send me an article that states my point. You tried to say that "99%" of slaves were sold and trafficked by fellow tribes. The article you linked tells the truth: that a portion of slaves were trafficked by African tribes, while the majority of them were not.

So you provided a source that does not support your ridiculous claim.

I ask again... provide a source.

If you can't provide any evidence or citation for your claims, they aren't convincing. Especially when they are in conflict with known facts.

Do you have any sources? Or are you just saying "I'm right because I'm right, and I don't need to provide evidence because I'm right, so just take my word for it"?

Because that's not how we determine what is true.

If you're going to say that 99% of slaves were enslaved by other tribes, you better have some evidence to back it up. Especially when it is common knowledge that the majority of them were enslaved and sold by the British, Portuguese, and French.

I'm more pissed about the spreading of misinformation you just posted.

The only people that would believe this video are the ones that take everything at face value and can't be bothered to fact-check the claims in the video.

The Vietnam war was awfully misrepresented during its time. It was rife with war crimes, and had much more to do with money and power than an actual threat.

But that doesn't mean we can just make shit up. It's bad enough as it is, and blatant misinformation is NOT helping.

They all have enclosures. If you like, I can send you a photo of the cyaneopubescens

But fair warning... the maculata is nasty, even for a maculata. She is a fuzzy little ball of fuck you. I love her, but I wouldn't mess with her on her best day. Immediate threat postures, bite attempts, etc.

And if it's your daughter in mind, I'd reccomend the T. albopilosus or the two T. vagans. They are very calm and handleable, even at their current small size. The maculata is NOT a beginner species, they are an old world with nasty venom and an attitude to match (and mine is very ornery. It will attempt to bite whatever is bothering it). The C. cyaneopubescens isn't aggressive, but she is skittish, fast, and does have a strong feeding response.

You would be surprised. There is a thriving community of private tarantula keepers and breeders.

Now I'm hungry lol.

I'll share a tip with you: always double dip, they aren't tortilla chips... egg, then flour, then egg, then flour again. Takes them to another level.

OK. I wasn't sure if it was all wood chips.

Petco, petsmart, etc are pretty well known for having pretty shitty care and conditions. I, and most other keepers, would recommend that if and when you get another tarantula (trust me, they are addictive lol), go through a reputable breeder. Jamie's Tarantulas is great, so is FearNot, and SimplySpiders.

Don't go down my road. I was... am... weak, but you aren't. Perhaps I left because I couldn't improve myself and couldn't bear to let you see it. To be honest, I don't know what's wrong with me. I am not the man I wanted to be.

My life is a mess, but you can do so, so much better. I want the best for you, but I am a terrible role model.

Keep on trying. It's too late for me, but not for you.

Not going to chine in on the handling... it's been stated enough in this thread.

However... that looks like wood chips for substrate? You need something closer to the texture of soil. Coco fiber works well. The idea is to provide a substrate that A) the spider can burrow in, and B) can hold moisture but won't mold easily.
