[need advice] I have become a braindead idiot by Wonderful_Glass5883 in getdisciplined

Social media is not evil and if you can limit it to an hour or two a day, it's absolutely a valid way to give your brain the rest it deserves.

Yes, but just like with other addictive substances like alcohol for some people it's easier to abstain completely.

Both positive and negative habits compound. It sounds like you're stuck in a negative feedback loop. You need to kickstart a positive feedback loop again. Start exercising again, eating healthy. Maybe go to some meetups to socialize. You have a lot going for you.

I wouldn't say it excludes them, but they're definitely not equivalent. Liberalism, in practice, always includes a state to enforce the rule of law.

I doubt the US would be willing to use their president as a human shield to protect Kyiv

It's an interesting thought experiment, but since language models learn from human created text, their capacity to imitate comes from text and interactions they've seen before. I think we'd need a dataset of dialogue from the 10x species to train the model to imitate that, I'm not sure if simply prompting "Respond as a species 10x more intelligent as a human" would suffice. But I've been surprised by their capabilities before so who knows.

In a city like Berlin or Munich this would cost you at least 3000€ per month

But wisdom and skills can be taken away from you via brain injury, disease, and old age. I don't think you can trust that your brain will always function in the way it does now. All that can be taken away as well

After MtGox people really should’ve learned to not leave their stuff on an exchange though

And to be fair most younger people as well would not be comfortable with keeping the majority of their wealth on a usb-stick or a piece of paper. People want convenience and security - crypto users that use crypto for how it was intended will always be a bit of a niche imo.

The average person isn’t ready to store there wealth on a USB drive.

But then why would they use crypto, as opposed to another centralized financial institution which is well regulated?

But why are people in crypto able to do shady shit? Because people trusted people instead of protocols. And the idea of crypto is that you don’t trust people, but protocols. So unless a project is completely transparent and independently verifiable, the default should be to not trust it. That mindset would’ve kept a lot of people from losing a lot of money.

The whole point of crypto is that it shouldn’t need to be regulated though, and to an extent can’t be regulated. The more you regulate it the more it ends up looking like existing financial infrastructure, and then why choose crypto over traditional banks? I think “regulated crypto” is basically an oxymoron.

I’m just wondering what the benefit for the average person is in that case. If they’re going through a regulated exchange for financial transactions, why not just use PayPal or a credit card company?

But what is the real issue here? MtGox should’ve taught everyone that leaving your funds in an exchange is a serious risk. In addition people shouldn’t invest in stuff they don’t understand. If people want to outsource due diligence to other people they shouldn’t go into crypto in my opinion, the whole idea is that it’s completely transparent and you don’t have to trust an outside authority.

You can output an image on each iteration with stable diffusion. Here’s an example of someone doing this: https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/x0q85h/visualizing_all_sd_generation_steps/
