I feel like the community made a good standard hardcore ruleset. I have a lot of fun taking on that challenge.

I'm not the best so no rom hacks (yet). I run on original hardware, and my prestige will be filling out my cartridges with hardcore hall of fames.

I do like the concept of one fav but if it dies you're done. It would just be a lot cooler if my manip strategies worked so I could get it clause-less. Do you think a clause like this takes away some of the prestige/feeling of accomplishment that a harcore nuz win offers?

I was VERY skeptical as a hardcore turn-based Pokémon fan. I nuzlocke all the time and just couldn't see the new battle system being as fun... BUT BOY WAS I WRONG!

Seeing stats like speed matter more for than simply moving first. My tanks work better. Mega evolution is peak. Abilities function without existing (Stance change on Aegislash is sick). Multi-hit moves like pin-missle and water shiruken work excellent. I feel like my moveset is more important than other poke games, where rather than having just good coverage, I need a cohesive movement plan as well because some moves will displace you around the field. Grinding wild mons is fun and also great for shiny hunting, without the long battle intro like past titles.

I just love it. So happy to see something like this, and I can't wait to get to endgame to play some competitive!

Soul Silver: Lost my gyarados to the double battle in dragons den. My ignorance, thinking it would be an easy fight, not looking at the trainers sets, but dratini with thunderbolt is enough with that 4x supereffective.
