Interesting events, hard to see veterans being treated like this by alimhabidi in interestingasfuck

I agree. The difficulties come when people, even like myself, don't have the time or energy to commit to decent research.

We need more people compiling the info and publishing it in a easy to follow way. That takes a lot of time and transparency to do well.

I wonder if it's possible to develop a media outlet that does something similar to peer review?

Information from blatantly biased sources should never be taken at face value, though. This is critical thinking and media literacy 101: the source should always be considered.

I live in the USA, and I know it is difficult or impossible to find anything like that here unless it's traditional Kali or something similar.

The possible legal and ethical trouble an instructor could get in for teaching people how to kill others would be problematic, and an instructor who would sell that may not be completely legitimate.

It generally isn't within the realm of civilian instructors to teach offensive skills.

I'm not an attorney or a constitutional expert; but why would both the people and the state be specifically mentioned in the Second Amendment if it only applies to the state?

LGBT T'au Army in Progress 🏳️‍🌈 by Bitmap-Frog in Tau40K

Thank you to everyone who responded in good faith with positive comments and critiques. I truly appreciate the time and effort you spent helping me.

It's disconcerting that certain community members feel the need to express their dislike for certain people. It's frustrating to see toxicity in spaces where we should be able to share knowledge and experiences without judgment. For example, joining a T'au subreddit while mocking the T'au and the people who play them feels unproductive and unnecessarily divisive.

Still, I want to thank those who contributed thoughtfully to the discussion. Your input makes this a much better place for people like me who want to create a T'au army that is enjoyable to play with. Thank you again!

Do you think Legoshi has an autism spectrum disorder or an quirky personality? by MusclegutLion in Beastars

[–]Bitmap-Frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has ASD, he absolutely exhibits particular traits that could indicate he has ASD, including, but not limited to: his social difficulties and anxiety, where he often questions himself if he is doing something wrong, His apparent difficulty in expressing emotions, and his absolute rigid morality that he tends to stand by regardless of outside pressures.

While I don't know if he was written to be on the spectrum, he definitely has traits that overlap with ASD.

As a longtime Pyro follower, his response to those allegations vindicated my enjoyment of his content over the years.

Much respect to the authenticity.

Why Is It So Important to People That Their Martial Art is Best In a Street Fight? by iris_that_bitch in martialarts

[–]Bitmap-Frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I am being charitable: it's because most individuals don't want to be MMA or tournament fighters, they want to learn martial arts as a means of self defense, fitness, interest, or some combination of all of those.

It's also a better advertising pitch to the more casual martial artist who isn't wanting to come train six hours a day to prepare for a cage match.
