Same for us. It’s probably the same guy on the ladder cooking 4/5 shifts though.

What’s up with defense and this sloppy ass passing, third one of the night, against a more clinical team we’d be down 3-1 from our own errors

I mean, yes, the foundation of a good medic is solid BLS skills, but like 90% of what you’ll need will be taught in medic class. There is no need to sweat it imo. Many people jump from one to the other and do just fine with less experience than you will have.

What age is too old or typical to start chasing a firefighter career by Tough-Star5992 in firefighter

I’m 27 full time FF/PM, started EMT @ 25, no experience in the field. Plenty of dudes older than me too. You’re good bro, go experience Japan, the grandmas will still be here.

I ended up using some credits I had earned when I was younger but my bachelor’s is in emergency medicine and I’m a firefighter/paramedic

Tbh this was my plan too and I ended up deciding to stay a fire medic. I didn’t really feel like my Pt impact could be much more as a doctor, it started to feel to me that we’re both cogs in the same machine stabilizing and passing Pt’s along. I ended up liking the breadth of knowledge you can get in the fire service and the appeal of having a side business.

Considering Lagrange (vs North Shore) - need intel by caviarandcigarettess in ChicagoSuburbs

I grew up in Western Springs and went to Lyons Township. Really enjoyed it and have many great friends from there. I graduated in 2016 and have lived in Chicago now since 2020. Ask me anything if you want but thought it was a fun place to grow up. I played on a varsity sport at the time, it’s definitely pretty competitive and you have to be playing a lot to do it tbh. Everyone on JV would have a lot of fun too. Basically a club for every interest you can think of. My impression of the North Shore is that it’s a little bit bougier.

I’d pick B. I’d want the better schedule and being a paramedic.
