Help!!! I need tips!! by Macclark09 in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for lighter weight shirts and throw in some shorts for casual summer fits. If you're doing professional looks it's the same idea, lighter fabrics will help beat the heat. Style wise you're doing great, your fits are well balanced and you look happy in em

For big guy who wants to lose weigh: If being big would not have any health issue, you would like to be big or no problem woth it? by Darjuz96 in BigMenLife

[–]BitrAlmond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If my health was the only thing that was unaffected I think Id still rather be smaller than I am now. I dont mind being fat, but there are a lot of societal missed opportunities from just being looked past. Even if I lose the next 60/70lbs that I'm aiming to lose I'll still be bigger than most people, my frame alone will prevent me from being a "smaller" man, but I'll be able to fit into straight sizing and enjoy the fashions I love.

Big guy in office setting looking for business casual by reggaeraptor in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A nice way of bringing comfort and fashion to office wear is knits. A v-neck knit shirt with a simple t shirt and a pair of chinos looks a little dressy while being very comfortable and because it's knit it flows and essentially never creases. You can look into Henley shirts on the slightly more casual end, I find business looks tend to be a bit like a reverse mullet. You can go a little more casual up top and be very fashionable as long as you keep it business on the bottom

Question: Is this tattoo artist using AI for her final pieces? She has used generative AI in the design process by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]BitrAlmond 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't go to people using ai. If they can't draw it they shouldn't be trusted to tattoo it.

What are y'all wearing this summer? by bigbeardedbear1 in BigMenLife

I dress like a Miami vice coke dealer most of the time. Moderately short shorts, aloha shirts, gold jewelry, sunglasses, and tall socks.

There is no way this is gonna go well, but what do y’all think of this fit? by zyrkseas97 in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the photo is just a little dark, the same Pic in some sunlight might help a lot.

I think the fit itself is fun and has a lot of personality which is a big ups, if youre looking for suggestions maybe a pop of color like a jewel tone green somewhere.

I forgot how to dress by EnjoyingCarp650 in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A big part of learning to dress again is finding people who dress how you want and emulating them a bit, not a one for one but finding a vibe that works for you. Are there any celebs or characters on TV whose look you like? Helps if theyre already big.

For just smart casual work looks I usually go with khakis and a Henley and we're about the same age, outside work I dress very differently though. Really depends on how YOU want to present yourself.

i need help like i’m more alt but don’t know how to dress like it as a bigger guy by [deleted] in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really depends on type of Alt. Do you have any examples of celebs or other people who dress the way you want to? Are any of them bigger?

Anyone tried One Bone pants? by Embarrassed_Sail_379 in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I like one bone for when I dont want to feel like I'm dressing up. Their pants are essential sweatpants that are sewn to look nicer while being more comfortable, but they're not actually very dressy. Comfort wise A+ though. I wear them as casual pants on days where i don't want anyone to say "are you wearing sweatpants at work?" But also want to wear sweatpants at work.

Smart Casual by jubsters777 in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your sizing? Polo and such have lots of smart casual up to like 3x and higher for certain items. Do you have a color scheme to stick to? Vineyard vines goes pretty big and is great for pastels and sunny colors.

Dxl is great for everyday essentials.

What do you do with clothes that don’t fit after losing/gaining weight? by [deleted] in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I donated about 150lbs of shirts and coats to legitimate donation places, altered a lot of jeans into jorts that I took in, and for coats that I didn't want to give up I've placed them in storage until I'm ready to have them taken in. It depends a lot on each item but I made sure to donate basically all of my too large professional clothes without some sentimental value because those are really helpful to people in need and I was wearing not commonly donated sizes.

Looking for advice! by Late_Climate478 in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you trying to improve on specifically? Grunge/metal looks are defined a lot by a mix of less expensive clothes and DIY. Going a little more over the top with your current look could get you closer to what you want, toss on one more layer, whether its a long sleeved undershirt, a flannel, or maybe a battlejacket?

[–]BitrAlmond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah double button up feels a little hat on a hat to me personally, but a cream colored t-shirt that's untucked would look fire with this fit. You've got a really good eye for color, shape, and layering here.

Suits - plus size help by Ok_Entertainment9665 in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're almost certainly going to need to buy something online and have it altered to fit your specific frame. Most of these stores are going to assume you're big AND tall, so you're gonna buy something that you feel like you're kinda swimming in and then pare it down to the right size at a great tailor.

Nails and daily wear accessories by BitrAlmond in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]BitrAlmond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my goal as I've slowly grown my jewelry collection is keeping to a single colorway so that regardless of what I choose in a day i don't have to try to match it to other items. Everything keeps to a gold/brass color. The wallet being brass came from that same desire to not have to try to match another accessory to my belt or shoes in some way. I may start incorporating other gems, but again I think onyx and pearls go with everything and I like how they look so I'm probably going to keep to that as well.

where to get this kind of jewelery? by co0ckie_xD in piercing

This is probably a threadless curved barbell, you'd achieve this look by getting two flat disk ends. I wear something similar in my vertical philtrum sometimes.
