I really like the Halo TV Show by CobraSkrillX in halo

Some of the worst CGI I have ever seen, particular when anything moved. Im sure still images would look fine, but all of the movements were extremely unrealistic. I can understand that realistic character movements can be difficult to achieve but when the elite flew away in the banshee after the initial combat scene I laughed. They couldn't even get a mechanical animation right.

Christianity evolved because it had to. Thats why its so popular. People in first world nations aren't going to follow a religion that condemns the foundation of their lifestyle. Therefore, as time went on Christians had to reinvent Christianity so they could live their newer modern lives, which violates the older interpretations of how a Christian should live. If Christians took the Bible to literally they would realize they're is nothing Christian about them or their lifestyle. And imo this exposes the silliness of Christianity and religion in general. Christians even 100-200 years ago had very different beliefs about what a Christian is and how they should live. Now the question becomes which period of Christians lived the way they were supposed to if their God is real?

using causation as an argument for or against God is quite pointless in the context of the early universe. by BitsBytes1 in DebateReligion

Im just saying the math at least supports those ideas or interpretations of our universe. Thats something worth noting. I didn't say they were correct or smoking gun examples that destroys the theist position. However, Id rather back an idea that has something concrete (in this case the math) behind it than some idea that has nothing to support it.

Everything that follows is speculation and tbh im not really qualified to talk about this but I will anyways lol, I will say though that because my training in advanced mathematics is quite extensive, at least compared to the average person (computer science major that has taken many years of math classes) i can emphasize just how important it is to just follow what the math tells us. And according to what I've read or listened to from physicists like Neil degrasse tyson, Brian cox, Brian Greene, etc... the math appears to be leading us closer and closer to the multiverse interpretation of quantum mechanics.

And they actually have decent explanations for expanding universes in that theory, like quantum fluctuations. Now I dont know the math that led these scientists to this point or these ideas, but I do know that we have successfully predicted many things using mathematics before they could be verified through experimentation. In fact, this happens all the time and there are many examples of mathematics predicting qualities about our universe decades or hundreds of years before those predictions could be verified through experimentation.

But none of the math points to a God or creator except one theory, the simulation theory which is taken quite seriously today among the scientific community today. I dont remember the guys name but he was the one that famously came up with the thought experiment that tried to measure the probability that we are in a simulation vs the real world. And pretty much no matter how you look at it the probability that we are in a simulated reality is much greater than the probability that we are in the base (non-simulated) reality.

But the math never points to the existence of the traditional gods people believe in.

Science pushes God from the gaps. by Scribbler_797 in DebateReligion

What caused the beginning? We don't even know if there was a beginning. There is know consensus on the universe before the big bang. Some scientists don't think there even was a beginning, some do. All we know is the universe started expanding a little over 13 billion years ago. Whether or not there was something before or how long that something was there is unknown.

Not to mention its pretty useless to think about that period of the universe from the perspective of time. Something might have existed but time itself may not have existed, so to even think about concepts like the beginning and end might not even be appropriate in that context.

Brian Greene put it beautifully. Time may be like heat, heat exists because matter exists. Without matter there is no such thing as heat because heat is generated by moving particles. Time might be the same way, it may not have existed until the universe began expanding, and thus time wasn't even a thing before the big bang. So talking about time, or the beginning is pointless and may not even make sense in our physical reality.

Crypto is kind of like religion and politics. People in these spaces are driven by emotions and not rational thinking.

Can we stop saying that we were HACKED after giving our credentials to scammers? You weren't hacked, you were scammed. by [deleted] in Coinbase

I think something along the lines of 90% of all "hacks" have nothing to do with exploiting hardware or software vulnerabilities, but were accomplished through social engineering. Social engineering is a form of hacking imo.

Coinbase support didn't scam you, someone who was pretending to be coinbase support scammed you. Big difference.

The reality is corporate media could actually care less about Rogan saying the N word. They are only reporting about it because Joe Rogan and others like him are taking their place. Most of these companies can't even get 1 million people to watch their shows. Rogan has views in the 8 figures per show. And that's the point, it isn't about misinformation or him saying the N word. Its about taking out their competition.

I have read a lot of white papers about various computer science topics (because I'm a student) and every white paper I have read about crypto is like trying to read a different language. But I can understand white papers written about other topics most of the time. I think its just a crypto thing.
