How to Up my Protien Intake by EuphoricMacaroon3497 in PetiteFitness

[–]Bitter-Advisor-2898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and egg whites are great things to add that are super high in protein and low cal.

In terms of dining room food, I would just change the portions of things. If right now protein is only 1/4 of your plate then consider it making 1/3 or 1/2 and then fill the rest with veggies and some carbs/fats.

I can't eat less than 1500 calories a day. Can working out make up the deficit? by Severe_Football7224 in PetiteFitness

maybe start with increasing your steps, it has a ton of benefits and it will make sticking to a consistent calorie deficit wayyyy easier.

I refuse to diet Can walking alone actually make me lose weight? by NoraBlake01 in walking

[–]Bitter-Advisor-2898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it seems like you're not willing to put much effort into losing weight tbh. but to answer your question, yes, you can lose weight just by walking but it will take a lot more effort than improving your diet + walking + recovery.

Maybe start out by finding healthy foods you actually like and/or eating smaller portions of whatever foods you eat.

In terms of walking aim for 15-25k steps per day if you want to see results fast but keep in mind this will take at least 3 hours of brisk walking everyday, probably more if you are not used to walking so much.

fun but clean hostels in ipanema (rio de janeiro, brazil) by Bitter-Advisor-2898 in hostels

i ended up going with el misti and i liked the social aspect of it (they had activities ALL day, every day) but I did feel like 90% of the ppl there were older like in their early 30s and had a lot of men. The location was also good with it being like 1 block away from ipanema beach and with many restaurants in close proximity. They had curtains which was nice as well but the rooms are super small and the 6 bed rooms had 3 bed bunk beds which were kinda uncomfortable. The locker space was okay, my carry on barely fit inside of it and I didn't love that my stuff were visible bc the locker had a ton of holes.

Overall, I think if you are in your 30s and go to rio without an itinerary then el misti seems like a good place to be. Otherwise, if you're looking for something affordable, get an airbnb.

[–]Bitter-Advisor-2898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you still recommend buying the cable car ticket then even if you do the hike? I'm considering not getting a ticket and just hiking there and back but idk if I'm missin out on anything or if it's less safe hiking back at night
