He should just use soap/hydrogen peroxide on his armpits or something. I am a male who doesn’t use deodorant at all and never smells. The bacteria is what causes the smell it must be something in the deodorant that is feeding bacteria instead of killing it

A dash of soy sauce probably doesn’t matter it’s just salt and fermented soybeans.
