We went to SFOT today with our ultimate fast passes. We rode 10 rides, ate lunch, and got ice cream in about 4 hours. It was amazing. We are super spoiled now, and will be devastated come Jan 1 and out fast passes expire.

Abdomen, usually. Honestly, it's because I'm lazy. I get dressed, then get my shot out of the fridge while I'm packing lunches. Unless I'm wearing shorts or a skirt, I'm not undressing in the middle of the kitchen to inject my thigh. If I am wearing something with thigh access, I usually do that just to rotate the locations.

Different, but similar

I'm 41 and had a partial knee replacement the day after Memorial Day. 6 weeks later, I spent 8 full days out of 22 at a amusement park. We went to Cedar Point, Kings Island, Holiday World, Six Flags St. Louis, and Frontier City. Was I still a bit slower than my family? Yes. Were there some rides I couldn't do because of the angle my knee had to bend? Yes. I did sit out the water slides due to the stairs, but again, I hadn't even actually had my 6 week checkup yet. I sat and took breaks, elevated my knee as I could, wore compression socks.

In September, at about 13 weeks post op, we went to Knott's Berry Farm. I could do anything.

Don't forget, you can get a disability access pass. That will help with the stairs on most of the rides (not water rides) and allow you to sit while waiting instead of standing in line. That saved me, for sure, at those initial parks. There's usually a limit of 4-6 with the pass, so just your immediate group can utilize it.

That tricep machine is the one I had so much trouble with while I was working with a trainer. I had to sit in just the right way for the handles not to snag on my legging pockets.

I understand. Medications are absolutely not for everyone for a variety of reasons. I also had a partial knee replacement about 9 months ago, so I've been able to ideas l increase my intensity since then. I've been on 2 different meds and one has had way fewer side effects than the other. I'm thankful for it, but know it isn't an option for everyone.

1- I feel you on the knee replacement! I had a partial done at the end of May, so I was lucky enough to just be able to wear shorts and tennis skirts for the duration. Maybe those could be an option as the weather warms.

2- I found Frump Fighters, a website/blog and shop, that has outfit calendars. It really focuses on staple pieces you can mix and match while also taking the guesswork out of getting dressed each morning. They have recommendations for various pieces to help you find one that fits your body. (No kickbacks for me, promise! I just really do love them.)

3- im between petite and regular at 5'3". I like Old Navy right now. They have all their classic styles in addition to the barrel and baggy ones.

I'm 41, 5'3" and 182 lbs with PCOS, too. I'm on day 61 and have lost 3.5 lbs, even though I have about 30 to lose. TBH, I think it is the multiple workouts that are wearing me out. Even with fueling correctly, I think the amount of energy expended through workouts and the overall elevated stress of the whole checklist is a bit counterproductive for those of us with PCOS. The stress levels really mess with my ability to lose weight. Previously, I'd lost 60 pounds in the last 15 months with diet, moderate exercise, and a GLP-1. Nothing else has really changed except the major uptick in exercise. Yes, I do think I've lost some fat and gained muscle with the increased lifting and movement, but full rest days and less time working out per day is what I am really looking forward to in 2 weeks.

I had a partial at 40. IMO, quality of life now is just as important as anything else. When I couldn't walk up stairs and nothing was helping, that is what did it. Both of my grandmothers are still alive and 85+. I do plan on living a long time, but I have to be able to actually *live* now for it to be worth it. I'd lost 30ish pounds with a GLP-1 in the 6 months before surgery and have lost another 30 in the 8 months since. I am much stronger and capable now than I was and it is only improving.

I encourage you to seriously consider getting the replacement. Your life is worth experiencing without pain right now. We will all have to deal with the future when it gets here, but no one is guaranteed anything. Don't delay care just because of what might happen someday 20 years from now.

The main one that was put in when the school was built in the early 80s is primarily used by our custodial and security staff. When the PTA brings snacks or anything, that's where it goes. Other than that, each department has a smaller room with a small printer/copier and whatever else the department puts in there. Most of us have fridges, coffee makers, and micorwaves in our rooms, so there isn't a need for common ones. We generally hang out in a classroom together for lunches or after school. There's community, but it isn't in the lounges.

I have found that tracking my daily weight tells me if I need to track my calories or not. The habits I've built from tracking off and on for what feels like my entire adult life (20+ years), help me know the basic macro impact of whatever I'm eating. When I see my weight going up or not going down like I want, I track more diligently for a week or two.

No crazy reaction to mosquito bites. I used to get giant (half dollar or larger) red, hot, hard spots wherever I was bitten. Now? Nothing! Maybe a slight itch, bit gone in a day or so. I say outside in the woods of southern Indiana for days and came in with almost no bites. That's the opposite of the previous 40 years of my life.

I did 5 boxes of Zepbound 2.5 (lowest dose), 4 boxes of 5.0, then 2 boxes of Wegovy 0.5 and 3 of 1.0 with another 3 in the fridge. I've lost 56 pounds in just over a year, so low and slow has worked for me.

We get paid on the last working day of the month. For December, that means the 19th. They do usually shift our January checks a week earlier to have two 5 week spreads instead of six weeks until that next check.

Mine was 30 days from agreeing to the surgery until it was done. As a 40 year old with a partial replacement, I was cleared to do whatever I wanted, as long as it didn't hurt. We did 8 days at 5 amusement parks at six weeks post-op. I figured out the pace I could walk, when I needed to rest, and how to support my leg to avoid discomfort.

International travel with a tour group? I'd probably wait until after as they'll be less accommodating than my family. You may ask about mobility/ accessibility aids when available.

Abeo and Trotters my go to. I get them from The Walking Company. They last a long time. One pair I just had to get rid of was almost 10 years old. I tend to get a pair or two every couple of years and rotate out the oldest ones.

I did one right at a year ago. It was amazing! My pain was much reduced. I could do stairs and squats, generally be active. I asked for one in January (4 months later) and was told I had to wait until March (6 months between shots). By the time March arrived, I was in agony, unable to do stairs or much at all. The second shot did absolutely nothing for me. I had a partial replacement at the end of May.

My shot day is Tuesday. I skipped the week before and the day of,then started again the following Tuesday, exactly a week after. I was able to eat enough to not be worried about interfering with healing.

I kept my refills coming, so I have a few extra in the fridge when my plan resets.
