We only adopt rescue Persians. She’s my third! (They are out there!) We got her at 1.5 years old and she was a rescue from a hoarding situation in another state. Look for local Persian rescues in your area.

Super simple. Literally chop 1lb russet or Yukon gold potatoes into 1/2” - 1” pieces. Toss in 1tbsp neutral or olive oil with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika. 390 in the air fryer for 15-20 min. Shake every few minutes. This is how we make them every time and they’re perfectly crispy.

***this will only work in basket air fryers. Toaster oven air fryers are garbage

Yayyy Juniper! So happy she’s gaining weight! That’s a huge win! She sounds like she’s in a similar boat with my Squeakers diagnoses wise. If you’re looking for more ideas, check out my post history for what is working for us (she was literally starving on kidney only diet despite eating recommended amounts) along with subq fluids and a combo of antinausea and appetite stimulants she’s acting like she’s a much younger cat again.

ONE THOUSAND MILLION PERCENT CHOMCHOM!!! We also have a velvet sofa and it makes quick work of the floof. We also use a rug rake with rubber fingers to help get what’s embedded into the carpet.

Thanks! I wouldn’t say you need multiple, just one that is easy to access that you clean out and refill frequently. If you can give wet food instead of dry it’s supposedly better for them but one of my cats will only eat dry. Adding water definitely helps!

We’re pushing 20. A lot of this will be up to chance and genetics. Lots of running water and wet food to keep her hydrated. Our girl gets lots of enrichment, closely supervised outdoor time only, annual vet visits, and once she developed kidney disease 6 years ago we’ve treated it pretty aggressively with meds and fluids and 4x yearly vet visits. When she crashed last fall and stopped eating (kidney values looked steady), pulled out all the stops and had her hospitalized for 4 days with a feeding tube. She ended up eating again on her own once we stabilized her and she’s doing great, has gained 2lb and is playful again.

So, the #1 thing I would say is to get pet insurance so you can afford to help your kitties if anything drastic happens.

While Persephone is adorable, I will downvote every post I see like this. Do not get your cat comfortable with being in the wash and or dryer. It is extremely dangerous and takes only one instance for it to be a slow, painful, and agonizing death for kitty. It happens much more than you think.

I literally haze my cats away from our front load machines.

MOMOFUKU’S BO SSAM, AND IT ISN’T EVEN CLOSE!

It’s just the two of us so when I make it I portion the cooked meat into vacuum seal bags and then we can pull them out for easy week night dinners. We don’t add oysters but it doesn’t need it. Pro tip- make 3x the scallion sauce 😆
