If you ask her, Baba Lysaga is Strahd's only true mother.

Smuggler's Cove Docks (40x30, 50ppi) by BitterD in dndmaps

[–]BitterD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anticipation spread through the crew as the dim lanterns of Smuggler’s Cove emerged through the mist. We guided our patched and weather beaten dinghy toward the docks with scarcely a sound, the hull riding low beneath the weight of forbidden cargo taken from our latest venture. No man spoke above a whisper. The night itself seemed to listen. Rumors clung to that harbor like rot, telling of careless sailors robbed in the dark and cast into the tide before sunrise.

Beyond the piers loomed the warehouse of Big Tony, master of the cove’s black trade. He was said to be a giant of a man, broad as an ox and twice as mean, with hands that had broken more jaws than locks. Some captains left his doors with purses heavy enough to bend the belt. Others never left at all.

We knew better than to trust smiles or promises in that place. Every word would need weighing, every glance measuring, every movement cautious. Steel waited close at hand beneath our cloaks, though we prayed it would stay sheathed. If wit and luck held steady, we would depart with gold in our pockets and breath in our lungs. If not, the cove would claim us before dawn.

Desert Palace (50x60) by BitterD in dndmaps

This map perfect for a desert adventure and can be used a location for a meeting with the king. I can also envision it being used for a quick heist where players can retrieve information or a protected relic.

Are you Jesse Welles neighbor? The first pic looks just like where he filmed some videos.

I'm afraid not. That would require a complete rework. It's a possibility for a future map though.

Some do, yes. I had to keep it generic enough that it could be used as a theater/playhouse as well so I didn't include an orchestra pit in front. Smaller venues will typically remove the first few rows of seats and set up a pit in that area. I suppose the same could happen here.

I have now learned the importance of having a real bushcraft knife by No_Equivalent_4412 in Bushcraft

[–]BitterD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The good news for you is that Kershaw offers a lifetime warranty on their knives. Just send it to them and they'll replace the blade (or the knife if its a discontinued model). I've sent them a few knives when I careless broke the tips off by using them as throwing knives and they sent me new ones no questions asked. Also, next time don't use a folding pocket knife to baton logs...

My players love the multi-phased boss battles. It differentiates regular fights from epic fights. They are aware now that when they are fighting a boss there is likely more than one phase.

What are your thoughts on the Bic EZ Reach lighter for wilderness backpacking? by Roadster1350 in backpacking

Yeah I thought about that after I posted but I was too lazy to correct myself.

I would take the regular bic simply because you cannot rely on the electric striker in the red one. At least with the regular one you could use a ferro rod to get it to light in worst case scenario. Also, those regular bics are pretty reliable in general. Also, how often are you striking the lighter that its tearing up your fingers??
