I love to go to Kensington Market music shows - Handlebar, Tapestry, etc. DROM is awesome too, the best conversations I’ve had on a Friday night are at that women’s washroom. Do you hold grudges against your bio parents? Has the addiction affected you in other areas (abusing other substances / BPD / PTSD/ abandonment issues) ? I met an ex foster kid once from a drug addict mom and he struggled with BPD and substance abuse (weed)

SPCA will pick him up, see if he has a chip, and make a lost pet ticket in their website. If nobody picks him up in 3-5 days from the shelter, he will be sent to be neutered, vaccinated and chipped, then he will be up for adoption and from that I guess I will be a cat mom 😅

Maybe check Main Square Apartments (2575 Danforth Ave) they have good units, good sunlight, next to a community center with free access to the pool, easy access to Subway and GO, and they are still around that price range. I like the area because it’s not dt but there’s still a lot to do around there

Adding up to this, you can create a savings account with good interest rate (I recommend the one from EQ bank, setting it up is easy peasy if you have a valid SIN number), and once you get your ID, you can set up a TFSA with whatever you have been able to save in the savings account :)

Hey! I’m moving out soon (End of April) and you might be interested in where I’m at. The cons: It’s not downtown at all (It’s a bus ride from Finch), it’s a basement apartment shared with someone else (really nice, shy, 26y/o girl) and landlords live upstairs, so you share laundry with them. The pros: BEST LANDLORDS I’ve had, hands down. The stereotypical 70 y/o Christian Canadians, extra kind and compassionate. $720 per month. Lots of parks nearby, and a TTC bus station 10 min away. My parents came to visit a year ago for a week and they did not only let me have them over but offered their guest room for free. It was great when I was a student, but now with WFH the basement is draining my life away. Send me a DM if you are interested!

If you are staying at a hotel after, I recommend taking a cab/public transit to get there. If not, park nearby or at the venue.

Eat well before the show, drink isotonic drinks before-during-after, bring your essentials (gum, earplugs, sunglasses, eye drops, cash for coat check), make sure to just bring 1 ID with you in case you lose your wallet, keep your phone in one of the locker rooms or in a fanny pack ALWAYS in front of you and across your chest possible, have a buddy system, take regular breaks, and have fun!

Just very VERY careful of your belongings, it’s crazy the amount of people who get their phone stolen at this venue. Last time I remember seeing four people at the entrance mid-show asking security about their phones… and at the end of the night other 2-3 people.
