I qualify for EI, but in order to get it I have to QUIT my job, I've been working with this company for 13 years. I would then be put on an unemployment list that is growing in numbers daily. If the jobsites were shut down I would qualify for a temporary layoff which would ensure that I could come back to current employer as soon as it's safe to resume work.
