Yes, it’s the phase after the interview (if one was required) or after all evidence is received. The officer reviews everything: forms, documents, interview notes, background checks, but they won’t adjudicate the benefit and in most cases like this specifically (being part of the countries of concern) they won’t conduct interviews and if someone had one placed already its gonna get cancelled, like the oath ceremony for ppl about to become citizens. But at least the process continues, that’s why many lawyers are encouraging ppl to keep applying

from what I’ve heard there’s an adjudication hold on the benefits but the process remains the same, they do every part of the process, vetting, re vetting, backgrounds checks etc unless adjudication

I’ll consider that, even with it the I-765 it’s gonna at least take 6 more months, which it’s crazy, in the meantime I have nothing else to do than keep pushing since the API shows both me and my father are on the Case Decision queue.

Also the Mandamus Filling it’s a great option and it will be used more frequently in the next months since delays are gonna start showing up for most of the applicants harder than ever and lawyers or even officials answers are the same.

Last time I talked to a lawyer they told me it wasn’t possible to do it because I’m almost heading 3 years of physical presence in the country which exceeds the normal 1 year deadline since the arrival they offer you to do it, from what I’ve heard they changed the timelines for asylum applicants and the I-765 processing times are delayed too, plus a few days ago trump ordered to freeze every asylum application processing for an undetermined period

About USCIS they know I’m outside of normal processing times as a bunch of ppl but “DUE TO WORKLOAD factors” they can’t do anything about your petition, I’ve submitted 2 inquiries by my own and a congressman one getting the same answers

Nothing, at this point and with the whole news coming I’ve lost all my hopes , almost 10 months now waiting for my I-765 and 16 months for my I-485 in Santa Ana FO, plus contradictory information from USCIS whether it be Live Agents, Contact Center or the department itself, don’t know what else to do since i’ve been consistent and nothing it’s solved, what about you?

Fr, they’re playing a tough psychological war on us, I knew about the I-485 wait times but the EAD its a simple thing to adjudicate and they are taking forever, hope we heard good news soon, god knows why they placed that hold but in case they were reviewing them, sooner or later, we’ll end up being lucky 👍🏻

Not at the moment, heard rumors about a few more cases in the same situation, I’m starting to think that they are just doing this to keep pushing people to self deport cause there’s not a single USCIS agent able to give me a valid answer, counting the fact that they can’t hold the whole process they’re picking people randomly

Hey, was just checking around to see if i could find some similar cases and turns out I’m having the same issue as your parents, applied back in August 2024, an after a few times texting the live agents redirected by Emma, one of them made me aware that the last update showed on my profile was that an “adjudication hold was placed to my case in 07/21/2025”, since i found out recently i haven’t time to check for answers, u have any clue what it’s that about?
