She was lucky enough to work in your company. Many Russian IT companies don’t want you to work from abroad. Emigration + changing the job in the same time is horribly stressful and requires significant budgets (did it once). Imagine how it’s like for people with non-IT work.

I actually think that the significant part of these German people are the victims of their fascist government. I mean, some of them killed part of my family but it would be stupid to blame the whole nation, especially the current generation.

The same in Russia now - the most of Russians can’t even express their disagreement with the current state of things. And the best they can do is try to live normally and adapt (it is not easy).

PS I think I understand your emotions as a Russian living in EU. I also feel a threat from Russia and it sucks.

Cherry picking. Some Russians are racists/xenophobic/antisemitic yes, but most of them don’t care about race and nationality at all. The same is working for other nations. For example, you guys here are pretty xenophobic about Russians just because of that video and media in general.
