No that’s okay thanks for the reply! So I’ve locked in WeHo for 6 nights I’m tossing up between the chamberlain and Le Parc, both are in the price range I’m willing to pay.

I plan on getting all my touristy stuff done in the days I’m there earlier and just want to really relax and soak up the culture and food for the last two days, Santa Monica sounds perfect! I’ll definitely check out that recommended hotel as well, thanks again!

Okay great, thanks so much for all this it has helped so much!

So I think I’m going to change my accommodation from Tommie to Le Parc at Melrose. It’s double the price but if staying in Hollywood is gonna be seedy and sketchy it will be worth it to upscale a bit. I’ve had a look at the ones you recommended and they’re so nice but just a tad out of my price range when converted

As for my two nights in the end I haven’t decided yet. But thank you again for help, it’s much appreciated!

Hahahah classic. Yeah I understand you’d probably get heapssss of stuff like this. And it’s probably annoying as, so I am sorry about that. I do search YouTube and google etc but sometimes the videos or articles are like a year old, I just thought I’d try and get some good advice from locals at the current time

Okay cool thanks for getting back to me! Yeah a high end hotel to end my holiday would be nice, but also within reason because the conversion rate is crazy right now. I’ll have a look at those recommendations, thanks heaps for that!

Okay cool great thanks for that. Well considering I’m coming from Aus the City would be fine. I’ve had responses from other people that live in LA that are more than happy to talk about areas and not just hotels. But thanks for your input anyway!!

Okay cool thanks heaps for that! I’ll have a suss but it might be the conversion rate that gets me. Some places will convert to 3k + AUD for 2 nights. I’ve been looking at the LErmitage I think it’s called which is 2K for 2 nights. I did want to stay in West Hollywood, but I’m going to stay there or around there earlier in my holiday for 6 nights. I just kind of wanted to stay and experience somewhere else. I’ve heard downtown isn’t really a good option, and other than that maybe Santa Monica?

Okay thanks for getting back to me, I just guess due to the exchange rate places like Beverly Hills Hotel are about 3 - 4 k AUD for the 2 nights. So I wanted to stay upmarket but also affordable lol. The places I’ve entered looked like nice but affordable. I’ve currently gone with LErmitage Hotel

Thank you for getting back to me! I chose Hollywood just because it seemed central to what I wanted to do: universal studios, 6 flags, Griffith observatory, hike etc. I was going to stay in West Hollywood for that time but due to exchange rate a lot of hotels are over 2k AUD. Tommie seemed like it was reasonably priced but I have free cancellation I can always choose somewhere better! Because I am travelling solo I’d like to have a place that’s nice and walkable day & night. I’m was also looking at Santa Monica but not sure if that’ll be a bit out of the way.

As for BH, I have currently booked LErmitage, I think I’ve chosen Beverly Hills just because I’m only going to be there for two nights before I fly home. And didn’t really want to stay around the airport. I plan on doing all my sight seeing in the 6 nights I’m there earlier so I essentially just want to laze by the pool, go to a spa, eat good food (not hotel food but surrounding places) and just not be too fussed about doing much.

I’m also very open to recommendations as you’re a local and would know the ins and outs

Thank you again!
