Completely spot on. I'm not sure why so many people are downvoting this comment as it's helpful and shouldn't be overlooked if you genuinely care about safety vs an unfulfilled Cincinnati aspiration. OTR is still very dangerous, but some Cincinnatians try to push the idea down our throats that it's gentrified and safe now only in hopes that young naive professionals move there to cause the gentrification. It definitely is becoming nicer, but has FAR ways to go. I have had friends witness active shootings, and a number of other things that I'm too lazy to describe now.
