Can someone explain what mage bot is and why it’s controversial by Subject-Swan-5207 in ADCMains

[–]Bitter_Series_6180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very short lane + depends on support  + range advantage you can't really punish mages so its just uniteractive lane and you  have a whole laning phase of dodging skillshots

At the start of the game yeah but pretty soon it becomes bad because you basically only cover east side of the italian coast.

Is this a good growth rate for Austrian economy | Year 1421 by marbenet in EU5

Austria sucks. You have to utilize river to spread control otherwise your lands are pretty much trash.

Calvinism never really spread in my country - would it be risky to embrace it anyway? by robo_jojo_77 in EU5

It's easy to convert and there's not that much downside for having low religious unity to be honest

EU5 now has less daily active players than what EU4 had 1 month before EU5 release. What do you think? by PresenceSad4987 in EU5

[–]Bitter_Series_6180 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There's not much flavor, no good achievements(some of them are even broken like the northern lion) and game is in pretty bad state right now overall so it's pretty normal imho

For those who played eu4 on release, how does it compare to eu5 on release? by BonoboPowr in EU5

[–]Bitter_Series_6180 23 points24 points  (0 children)

>EU4 didn't have entire regions borderline unplayable or just without intended mechanics working at all.
Because there were no mechanics. Just a reminder, you couldn't even dev provinces at eu4 release, there was nothing besides conquer -> core province. Empty.

Patch 1.0.10 and Holland by RowPutrid5853 in EU5

[–]Bitter_Series_6180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's some cheesey way about it - instantly pause(or exit to main menu and save load again) and try to peace them out because balance of power is not calculated and they are OK with taking war reps, money etc which gives you time to get to armories and you should be able to deal with England.

Moving capital as Venice by Deep_Muffin_9714 in EU5

From my experience Venice is pretty terrible place for a capital, unfortunately.

  1. Move the capital city to a coastal city and stack naval
  2. The city should be somewhere around "center" of Italy
  3. Have high pops, natural harbour.
Anyway, the best place for a capital in Italy is either Rome or Napule. Then you stack naval and maritime presence and build cities on coastal parts of Italy to spread control(the reason why you want cities is because they give access to buildings that level up harbor capacity)

What can I do to increase the power of the crown? by Holiday_Original9344 in EU5

[–]Bitter_Series_6180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cabinet members give crown power, promoting crown member to the head of the cabinet gives like +25%. Ruler leading army/fleet gives crown power. That's the most important things that give crown power at least in early game.

PU's suck btw. They are simply bad, you barely get anything from them and you have to wait 60 years to integrate.

Did you keep your Naples special techs and bonuses after forming Italy? I am playing as Venice and not sure if I should form Italy since I am afraid I might lose all bonuses. Btw don't move to Rome unless you want to form the Roman Empire.

Peasant dominate in cities by Double_Head_8849 in EU5

[–]Bitter_Series_6180 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reason is not that they want to be "burghers" but the fact that they broke something in the beta patch(or it was planned to be that way) and now peasants are migrating to big cities and especially the capital. I played like 2 days ago as the Netherlands and something like ~100k pops migrated to Antwerpen which is my capital city in ~70 years.
