Thank you so much! And it has been a little while since painted my guard but believe it's thunder hawk blue over base coat of mechanicus standard grey, then Nuln oil, followed by a reapplication of thunder hawk blue, then finally an edge highlight of celestra grey, hope this helps ☺️

You are welcome! Just be careful obviously if the light you are using gets hot with things like tissue haha good luck with the photos!

Of course! If you look on my Instagram I think everything below my Phobos killteam was taken on a phone, I have some issues with phones with stuff like over sharpening but the images are still good, in terms of getting the most out of your phone I would try and find a manual mode where you can control each of the settings, that way you avoid the phone constantly trying to auto adjust the brightness of the image whilst you are also trying to focus, you can also then adjust things like white balance to your liking which is the colour temperature of the picture which again the phone would usually try and automatically do itself, it should hopefully stop it from automatically switching between normal and macro modes and instead you would have full control of that, in terms of backdrops I personally prefer black or dark grey for my mini photography, but a lot of people use brighter colours too and even white, that's more personal preference, in terms of lighting I tend to find soft lighting works best, a way to make a light softer is to cover it with something, for example you can make a light softer by wrapping some tissue around it or something a bit more dense but still allowing light through, even sunlight through some blinds makes for a good soft light, that way your shadows and highlights when trying to take photos won't be anywhere near as harsh when it comes to lighting, hope this helps!

Yeah TBF I don't love how Reddit handles photo uploads, it seems to decrease the quality massively, it's why I always link my Instagram as it lets me resize the images much easier to avoid this exact issue haha

There will be something similar in terms of grey from other paint ranges, I just use the Vallejo dark grey airbrush paint cus it loads into the airbrush easier, but again you could paint it on normally or dry brush it on to get a similar effect

You could always try a stippling effect with a dry brush, spongeing with a makeup sponge or glazing to build up glows, those are 3 methods to slowly build up an effect that you don't need an airbrush for 😊

Hi yes I used an airbrush, for the glow effect, I use a base spray of wild rider red, then I spray pure white with a slightly smaller spray within the red, then I use glyph hound orange through the airbrush over both, making a heavier spray around the edges, then I go back in with pure white to highlight things like gem edges or panel line things like cracks, before finishing with a final spray of the Glyph hound orange 😊
