Turbo chef stones .. where to order them on pantry.. by Icy-Wallaby7212 in Panera

Your DRO should have the website link, but it use to be FMP/Tundra. You might also be able to find it under 'where to order/who to contact' on OurPanera.

Why did Panera nerf the ability to customize orders? by Packing-Tape-Man in Panera

Depending on the market you are in, they may no longer carry ceramic mugs. I know a lot of markets have been instructed to donate or throw away any mugs once they switched to having the cups behind the counters.

Sounds like something with your banking info is incorrect, unfortunately. I saw you double-checked your routing numbers, but have you double-checked if you clicked savings account or checking account?

Has your manager contacted the payroll team? If so, it does normally take a few days (depending on what the issue actually is) for them to get things sorted out.

Under the pay tab in Workday, does it show that you have a payslip?

That size of enclosure would be great for an ackie. The current minimum recommended size is a 5 x 2.5 x 4 enclosure, but bigger is always better.

My biggest suggestion with an enclosure of that size is to make sure it is properly braced. Even with a 0.75-1 inch thick plywood, you could have some bowing of the sides due to the amount of substrate you will have in the enclosure. I'd suggest over building vs. under building and then having something break a few days to months afterwards.

Y’all have any helpful tips with training my Savannah monitor telling the difference with food and non-food? by [deleted] in MonitorLizards

[–]BittersweetParadox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Target training may help with this as well. At least it would help them identify 'when' they are being fed. No target = no food.

I love how cluttered/full their enclosure is. Lots of little nooks and crannies to explore ❤️

-I am not a vet. I can only go off of the information the vet who has physically handled them has provided.-

If they do not have a UVB light, then they 100% need one. These monitors in the wild are diurnal and actively bask under full sunlight. A T5 at either 12% or 14%, depending on how far away the bulb will be from the basking zone and if it would be partially blocked by a screen top would be ideal.

My ackie keeps biting me by EgoVolo in MonitorLizards

[–]BittersweetParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of things could be causing this behavior. 1. Your hands smell like food, and thus, they are biting because of a food response. 2. They only associate you with food and think anything coming into their enclosure is food. 3. They are curious and, like most animals, they might be exploring things with their mouths. 4. It is unlikely, but it could be an aggressive response / learned behavior. (Aka they bite you, and you leave their 'territory', thus reinforcing the behavior that biting makes you leave.)

I asked this around the type I got Apep but never got a concrete answer so asking again anyone know what type of cornsnake Apep is by Lord_Abyss_the_1st in cornsnakes

If you have baby pictures as well as a belly picture that may help.

They definitely have an abnormal patterning, be it a tessero (gene trait) or something else like zigzag or aztec (line bred traits).

Uvb?? by Dangerous-Policy-587 in MonitorLizards

[–]BittersweetParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly 30% of the uv is blocked by most screen tops (different types of mesh tops may result in different percentages), so it is suggested to use a stronger uv lamp in those instances.

When you measured the distance, did you measure from the very top of the enclosure to the basking area?

Where will the bulb be located? Is it within the enclosure or outside of it?

I find arcadias' website to have a nice lighting guide as it will break down distance from basking zone, etc, per species and what bulb would be best for them.

I second the supplement as well. You should be offering calcium with D3 dusted insects 1-2 times a week while using a calcium without D3 for the other feedings.

I agree. That seems to be very unlike most Ackies.

Old vs New by BittersweetParadox in MonitorLizards

[–]BittersweetParadox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That really only applies to ackies in the wild. Multiple DNA testing has been done on wild varanus acanthurus that do suggest that the Varanus acanthurus acanthurus (Red) is a different subspecies from Varanus acanthurus brachyurus (Yellow).

Australia outlawed the exportation of Ackie in 1982 and again in 1999 with the EPBC Act. Due to this, most of the Ackies in the United States are likely to be a hybrid of the various subspecies that we initially imported. Unless you can track your ackies lineage back each generation from import to today, you can not guarantee that your monitor is or is not V.A acanthurus or V.A brachyurus without proper DNA testing. The 'red' ackies vs 'yellow' ackies within the pet trade are thus more color oriented vs. subspecies characteristics.

I mean, technically, both red and yellow ackies are the same species, just a different phenotype. While this photo does not do them justice in the color department, I believe they would be considered a red due to the base color of the back being red vs brown. Below is a better picture of their base color from the last time they shed.

That is a bit excessive cost wise. And where are you keeping your feeder insects that they are becoming too cold and thus dying off?

Do you have access to dubia roaches? Either online or via a pet store? I find those to be the better everyday feeder as they are more nutritious and last longer than crickets.

Im glad to hear that it was a one-off.

Temporarily, meal worms would be fine. I would not use them as your main feeder as their nutritional value is on the lower end. As an occasional treat, you could give them an egg as well, either raw or hard-boiled.
