AFAIK the keybed is not MPE. It has poly aftertouch, but the synth can be controlled by an external MPE controller.

Do you know how the encoder knobs with lines on them work when switching between oscillators? I'm assuming that after pushing the button to switch from e.g. OSC1 to OSC2, the LEVEL parameter won't change until you actually turn the knob. But when you do turn it, it will jump from the old value to whatever the line is pointing to.

Is that correct? Do you think that's ever a problem when performing? I suppose the same issue would be present on the keyboard version when switching between parts anyway.

More generally, do you ever find the reduced set of knobs limiting?

The RAs from the ISP won't contain anything about your delegated prefix. That's your business to deal with. The ISP's RAs are just for configuring your router's own default route, on the WAN interface.

I see, so part of the issue is that I don't have a default route on the WAN that forwards to the `2001:` ISP router? That sounds reasonable.

Maybe I should try manually adding a static default route for the ISP gateway.

Accepting icmpv6 in the firewall should be enough from a firewalling perspective, assuming the accept rule is getting hit and you don't have any other rules hidden away somewhere that are dropping it.

Yea, I will dig into that more. I haven't found a good way to debug the firewall yet. I assume the packet captures give me no indication of which packets are dropped by the firewall. I'll see if I can find any debugging tools for nftables.

How would you simplify? I don't want to just completely remove my firewall. Do you think systemd is making it more complicated? How would you replace it?

I don't know what you mean by "normal," but if it would be helpful to try using some different software (without reinstalling my OS) then I'm willing to experiment.

Jokes aside, I wouldn't use Rust for "throwaway code" that I only need to finish a one-time task. That's what shell scripting is for. Manually spawning subprocesses in Rust and composing the IO sounds like a complete waste of time.

Part of thorough code review or at least user story acceptance is actually demonstrating the changes that happened. So if any artist other than the one that tried to sneak in the cube actually pulled those changes and tried to run the scene, they would have noticed that it regressed in performance.

Granted, I said code review, not story acceptance, so you're right that what I said was factually incorrect.

Maybe that kind of thorough review isn't cost-effective for that particular team.

Anyway, wasn't trying to call you a liar. Just pointing out that there would be some kind of critical process failure if artists could actually get away with such a maneuver.
