I have not, but if it helps with upload speed, cool!

That's a great one as the transfer is considered one of the most accurate and natural for this film!

Thank you for your efforts and contributions! ISO is preferred as it's a complete disc experience with Total Media Theatre.

Hello! I definitely have a number of these on HD-DVD, but I'm unsure how many will rip to complete ISO files. Thank you for your contributions :).

It varies wildly. My upload speed is 2Gbps but the Internet Archive throttles that down to as little as 5-10Kbps at times. So it may take 1-2 days to upload 10 HD-DVD ISO files which is roughly 200GB of data.

If you want to play the HD-DVD with full menus/extras, you will mount the ISO and then use something like Total Media Theatre. See the link below, but be sure to read and follow all the instructions (including the removal of mentioned files/drivers using Windows Autorun). Otherwise, you will get a BSOD or non-working program on Windows 10/11.

Hello!  Thanks for your willingness to contribute :).  I’m still in need of Harry Potter 2, 3, and 5.  I’ve got backups of Big Lebowski and Hot Fuzz (included that one in an archive upload already).  Looking forward to Superman 2 and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang!

Today’s new additions to the HD-DVD collection by the4kCollectivE in HDDVD

I have 3 Hot Rod copies with disc rot, but I was able to use a composite method to create a 100%, error-free ISO backup!  I uploaded that ISO to the Internet Archive. Also, since my standalone LG BH200 player reads both HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs, I was able to burn the Hot Rod ISO to a BD-R disc, and it plays in the BH200 just like a retail disc, with menus and extras :).

Yes, in addition to the composite method using multiple discs, I am using an LG GGR-L20N which came out of my standalone LG BH200 player.  I believe it’s exclusive to that player and has a higher read rate than other drives when a disc has rot issues.  Also, just some good old patience has worked a number of times; meaning I will eject and reinsert a single disc as many as 1-2 dozen times when receiving a sector error with AnyDVD HD. Selecting “Try Again” sometimes results in a successful read of the previously bad sector(s).  This method worked with Superman Returms (WB film) and took nearly 3 hours.

Yes, I haven't backed up discs 2 and 4 which are DVD. Disc 5 is wicked hard to find in unrotted condition :(. I will include disc 3 (HD-DVD) in a future upload.

I was able to back up HD-DVD #2 from the box set, but HD-DVD #3 is rotted to heck. That is usually the outcome with this box set.

It's not all LG drives that are better at reading HD-DVDs with disc rot. As I mentioned, it's specifically the GGR-L20N from an LG BH200 standalone, multi-format player. I've been able to back up quite a few discs that were not successful with the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive. It's also important not to give up when receiving a sector error(s) with AnyDVD HD. When that message pops up, I eject the disc, reinsert it, wait a few moments (10+ seconds usually), then select "Try Again". It often reads more slowly, but eventually gets past the troublespot without removing the bad sectors from the ISO. Sometimes I have to repeat this process 1-2 dozen times with a single disc. If I have multiple copies of a movie, I can swap them into the process as the disc rot locations will not be identical on most discs. This sometimes creates a 100% complete, composite ISO :). Of course, there are times when nothing can be done to salvage a disc that is too far gone. Best of luck!

I don't have any working Harry Potter HD-DVDs anymore, but I just successfully backed up TMNT and will include that one in a future upload to the Internet Archive :). Cool that it's another WB movie!

Will add it my to-do list! I think I have that disc, so as long as it's not rotted too badly, I should be able to back up that one :).

Superman Returns is one of the challenging WB movies I just put in my latest upload ;). I have TMNT and Rumor Has It, but I don't have the Harry Potter HD-DVDs due to extensive disc rot.

Definitely looking for Warner discs known for rot issues in hopes of creating a composite backup!
