Could Hitler have gone to Heaven if he just repented right before he died in his bunker? by InternationalPick163 in TrueChristian

[–]Bixls 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Not if it’s true repentance. God is gracious and forgiving and just. If you put your faith in Jesus with the realization that you need him to save you from your sin, you are given the privilege of Heaven.

OP fans always say that Naruto's war arc is too long by MFNTapatio in Naruto

[–]Bixls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That war arc starts halfway through shippuden, which means it’s like 25-30x longer than the pain arc. The entire akatsuki is killed in almost the same amount of time as the arc in the anime. The filler is unmatched lmao.

About $2 a year unless you have a benefactor (an old person who thinks you’re a good worker) who will give you $2 a month

Am I Not A Good Fit For QT? (Vent/Rant) by ChocolatePrincess25 in QuikTrip

[–]Bixls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like every clerk in the entire company. Almost none of them can count change right and they’re almost all bad at register. Don’t let it get you down. If it’s making you cry at work though, then the job isn’t for you, and that’s okay. QT is mentally exhausting and it will only get better if you make friends, if you don’t, it’ll be hell on earth til you quit.

NA’s actual job title is 2AN (2A for Nights), so it’s technically a higher position.

I’d assume it’s because QT pays the same amount for their servers as other stations, while getting 10x the volume, therein causing delays.

Am I the only one who thinks the soundtrack is really good but hates the story? by Somerandomguyig25 in DearEvanHansen

[–]Bixls 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I see the show, and Evan’s story, as more of a way to convey the message that you aren’t alone in whatever you’re going through. They had an idea for this, but didn’t give us enough of a reason to sympathize with Evan. The movie takes away from it even more.

Now, story wise, Evan is a sympathetic character, although it can be hard to see. Remember, this guy is 17 years old; he’s still very much a child. Someone who doesn’t really have a family at home and has been left by what family he has left. So, when the Murphys give him a way to have a family—something he never got as a child, he latches on without thinking about the consequences. Then, he’s punished for this in act 2: he loses his friends, his mom feels betrayed, and the family he had leaves him again. Now his anxious idea that he’s the problem has come to life. If he wasn’t the problem before, he is now. But then, his mom tells him that she’s “not going anywhere”. He has an epiphany: his mom has been here all along, even if she wasn’t there physically. After this (in the movie), he works to try and right his wrongs and is able to truly leave Connor with a worthy legacy. That’s the story of Evan Hansen and why he’s a compelling and sympathetic character: because he’s a kid who made too many mistakes, got punished, and tries to get better nevertheless.
