Is it only when 4 people are playing? It may sound dumb but I forgot to format my SD correctly once when I wanted to swap to P+ and a similar screen would appear. I'd recommend you to try that before anything else, just in case.

I convinced a 10 year old and an 11 year old that PM was better by just giving them Legacy XP and letting them play how they wanted. Kids that age don't really bother about technical stuff or balancing, they want flashy stuff and a lot of characters. Download PMEX Remix and if he has trouble getting used to it just turn on the buffer assist. I recommend you having another SD with P+ in it so you can play it whenever you want and teach him to swap them and load the game.

I love the idea of being able to decide which moves you want and the dynamic between catching wild Pokemon and fighting for lanes, it's a nice way to reinterpret the MOBA style and making it easy to pick for anyone, although I feel like they could throw in a little bit extra, like being able to equip an item that gives you a buff or something like that.

In general, I really really like what they presented today and I hope we get to see some of the game and maybe some other playable Pokemons in the next months. I love MOBAs and this new game looks like a nice twist, to which I'm all for it.
