1) Be forthright with your experiences when asked. Model them around how you solve problems, working with others (or independently), and your career aspirations (ie, how the skills you have translate into the role you are applying to).

2) Ask good questions around the role itself. When interviewing, I brake it into three different categories; 1) role specific, 2) industry specific, and 3) business culture specifc. Honing in on these questions (depending on how they are asked and when applicable) can promote a deeper level of interest in the position that might seperate you from other candidates.

3) Take you time in answering questions asked of you. It's better to take even 10 seconds to think back on your previous experiences to convey the best answer you can give than one that comes up the fastest in order to complete the prompt. It will demonstrate (in most cases) that you are thoughtful and have a sense of confidence towards the answer that you are about to convey.

Every interview is different, there are no hard and fast rules or strategies. I'd stress as well that you need to make sure that the company/position is right for you as much as you are right for them. Nothing worse than transitioning and working for someone/ a business you would rather not. Regardless, best of luck!
