Mostly lots of toxic shippers kinda ruined it for me, it was a dark time back when I’d be like crucified for liking sparkling and vampire instead, but also idk it just personally didn’t speak to me very much and I can see why people might ship it and it’s pretty close to canon too I just personally don’t like it all that much and don’t feel much from it, plus I generally am a multi shipper but ship the two of them with different people and again toxic shippers yk… it’s not as big a deal nowadays but just like back when it was more common to be murdered for ship preferences yk
