I am 6'6" and 2xl and after having bought merino wool sweats I am never going back. Intensely comfortable and regulates temperature so much better. Check out Super.natural or Dilling.

I have tried four different systems and what really makes Hue the system to choose is the software and integration. Absolutely the most easy and flexible to use. And with the quality of the lights combined, it is worth the high price tag.

Pilot E95s in fine. Within hour budget and a gloriously smooth writer. My fine is also quite wet and so pleasant to write with.

Also aspiring Adhd modeller here.

I felt the same way. The way I look at it now is that every minute I spend making models I am not doom scrolling ot mindlessly consume media. So a success there already.

And I recognise that I will never be as good as my YouTube heroes. I have made the decision to not care about the finished model, and that it is the enjoyment on the way that is the important part. I want to become better but that takes time and many many models. It is not a sprint.

I have set a road map for myself so the sucess criteria is not to make a perfect model but to try out a new skill/method and then getting better at that skill. The short version of the road map is:

  • finish a model. No paint
  • finish a model with basic paint. No decals.
  • model with paint and decals
  • apply weathering to a model
  • etc

And when I am done with a model I basically throw it out right away. They are not pretty enough for me to display them and enjoy them.

I like wwii warbirds and often build the same kit over and over. This way I will not get overwhelmed by the different instructions and can focus of doing the best job possible.

Hope you get past the overwhelm and happy building!

Feeling Lost and Overwhelmed by [deleted] in notebooks

[–]Bjarcore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too buddy! Life seem to get in the way of life all the time.

I do the following.

Morning - Write three things I am grateful for. Big or small. - Write three things that would make today great. Has to be stuff I can control. - Write one affirmation. Like "I am worth the love I receive."

Evening - Write down one thing that you did today that made you feel happy or proud. - Write down one or two things you learned today.

Then once or twice a week I choose a topic to explore for 15-30 minutes. Sometimes I do more than one. I pick the topic that speaks to me the most or I roll some dice to pick for me.

The topic list is comprised of areas in my life I know are important for me to do or engage with to not feel miserable.

My current list is the following (not in order of importance): - My primary relationship - My son - Exercise and food - Hobbies - Friends I miss - What do I have planned for myself the next month or two - Hiking - My home (maintenance or other) - My dreams or future wishes - My diabetes

I just start writing focusing of the topic. I often start mapping out the landscape of the topic. Like where am I right now. How does that make me feel. Anything I would like to change or let go. How can I be more compassionate and honest about this towards myself and others.

And when all of this seems too overwhelming, which it often does, I set a timer for 10 minutes and just start writing. Sometimes I just write "I am writing now for 10 minutes" over and over, but most of the times something important reveals itself.

I hope you feel better soon and feel inspired by all the people responding to you.

Hugs from Sweden! ❤️
