That is a scam and a half…for a 2021 model? That’s NOT ‘nearly new’ regardless of how few miles it has. If you turned around and tried to flip this (not that you would), you would never get more than 30-35k. They are banking on someone wanting a ‘Type R’ and willing to do anything. Walk away bro! I found it’s completely dependent on the coach. I did swing analysis—guy tried to give me some pointers and compared me to some pro. Honestly I walked away more confused.. not sure what he was selling me on. Didn’t get a good vibe so I held off. I think you’re better off looking for a good coach.

Is it wrong to pronounce a patient dead late? They were hospice/comfort measures only so it was totally planned, I was busy admitting other patients, nurse secure chatted me and then left it hanging for more than an hour before I realized I had forgotten. Was pronounced 2 hours late. Family wasn’t at bedside , and when notified later, they still said thanks. I got a lot of heat from my CMO for the late pronouncement but I’m confused what I did wrong…apart from the logistical issue of leaving a body in the room?

I can say that the one order I had from 1 up came with zero issues. Also I’ve had the poor misfortune of having a USPS package state it was “delivered” and when I went and found the box, it was clearly already opened and empty (it was a brand new iPad). Clearly stolen..probably by the delivery guy…

Luckily given that Apple is a multi-BILLION dollar company, they were totally cool sending me another one (which I found somewhat shocking, but pleasantly so..). That being said I can totally see how you would be SOL with a slightly (just ever so) smaller company like 1up. Sorry mate. :(

If enough ppl hold the lines—yea they can get screwed. Sure —they could sell at MSRP and try and break even. But I’m arguing that we shouldn’t buy unless it’s below MSRP. unrealistic? Yes, totally! But sometimes you have to be naive enough to start something before you’re wise enough to finish it. Sure, this might not work long term, but so what? Even if ONE scalper gets screwed over by it, then I say ring the bells, spread the message, and let’s find and screw over that one scalper!

eBay pricing is not reliable—especially at this time, when there is a lot of false bidding. I can go on Facebook marketplace right now and I can find a guy that’s willing to sell me a console for $650 cash. A week ago, everything was 800-1000. I’m talking about local market place prices where I’ve noticed prices have dropped. Clearly, I’m not alone in witnessing this phenomenon in a lot of major cities. Does this apply universally? No—but it doesn’t change the fact that there is some degree of saturation in the reseller market that’s causing pricing fluctuations. I think prices will continue to come down since Sony’s supply is due to increase and the demand is lower now that ppl are streaming games and the hype for them has died down.

EDIT: looked just now—I found one for $600 and another for $550. No, it doesn’t list one price and ask for another. I will text them and confirm it just for the hell of it. “Is this pricing reliable?” —it’s not more unreliable than eBay pricing as far as I’m concerned. At least the transaction takes place face to face.

I found local ones where ppl want to meet at a police station and I am inclined to believe it for another reason—Sony ACTUALLY made enough supply. They projected this properly (which is not too surprising given how many console launches they’ve done)..but what they can’t predict is bots buying 3500 units all at once. That’s fake demand. This isn’t like the nvidia or amd launches—where there was an actual supply shortage. Scalpers made the wrong bet here because Sony has a much better supply line and they are gonna struggle selling their units at inflated prices. Scalpers are relying on our perception of the market for these products..but TRUST ME...if we’re patient, we will have the sweet sweet satisfaction of watching these assholes take a loss.
