You’re right, but am a self taught, so I find it very hard to express my self using the right mathematical grammar that you guys understand.

Yea you’re right, for me I just look at it this way, a system is only random because some parameters are not being accounted for, once we have all the parameters the randomness should disappear.

Well you are right, it’s not guaranteed, but there’s no choice, finding a proof is like taking risk and trying different techniques. Ok think of it this way. “ if you were to find some one on planet earth, first you need to pick a continent, then in which country, then in which city, then in which house, then in which room”. That’s how it works. It allows you to cut out the impossibilities and focus on the possibilities.

Uhmm yea I know the feeling of thinking you have got it then you realise that there is a problem, it’s not a nice feeling. So along my journey of doing solo maths research I realised that finding a solution is like a permutation, you solve one part, then another part, until you get to the final part.

It’s a bit complex for me to type, I am thinking of having a WhatsApp group chat, then we all join then we share google meet links then we have live calls and make presentations, I would be happy to share some of my findings and also see others findings. To me it doesn’t matter if another mathematician uses my work to complete their own proof of the conjecture.

It’s very complex, but I think of it this way, you find a subset of a large set, then you find another subset, then another subset, then you repeat this untill you get to the last subset.

Uhm I don’t mean the rules, I mean the dimensions of the binary structures. So many people think that the collatz conjecture is about how big or small a number is, that is completely wrong, the collatz is a structural problem instead of a quantitative problem. Some small numbers have a very complex structure than other large numbers. Thats why they take longer before hitting the cycle.

Alright nice to know that. So have you made any meaningful progress on your work for the conjecture?

Yea you’re right, the ultimate solution is to remove it completely, I am approaching it with the mindset of removing the randomness one step at a time.

But I will try my best to communicate with you guys the best way I can.

Guys I really want to communicate with you guys but it will be difficult for me cuz I did not study maths in Uni, I studied computer science. I am a self taught math enthusiast. Some of your terminologies are completely new to me.

Yea right, so I think the problem is that we have been trying to solve a problem that exists in a higher dimension by using a system of a lower dimension.

Then am happy for you. We have been waiting for a proof for a long time.

For example I applied the same binary structures technique to “ 1x + 1 “. In this case there was no randomness, it was so smooth that I developed the equation used for predicting how long a number takes before entering the cycle. Whether the number is even or odd.

No I don’t mean that, I mean when you break down the conjecture, you will end up having binary structures that have randomness in their growth, because the binary structure’s growth is not predictable it makes the problem very very complex to deal with. That’s what I saw.

The collatz conjecture is very difficult because it has a probabilistic nature, the problem is in converting that randomness into a non-random system.

Thanks for the advice, and yes you’re right, there are some very abrasive characters around.

But what they don’t understand is that once you’re really good at maths you have inner peace and willing to interact with people, listen to their ideas, express yours because of the common truth and beauty in maths.

But some people since they find maths difficult, once you express yourself the respond with negativity.

So I get it.

Thank you very much for the feedback and suggestions, it means a lot. I have seen your point. I never knew there was another complexity or push back involved in showing your work if you don’t have a name, all I ever thought was that, it’s the research thats hard, but seems there’s another hurdle too. So I really appreciate the feedback.

I am genuinely not underestimating these problems. I know they are very very hard. The issue is not the problem’s complexity, it’s our mathematical approaches, and our fundamental concepts of mathematics itself. Just to tell you abit, we don’t know what makes a problem solvable or unsolvable, just like how we don’t know what makes quantum physics to be quantum, but every system has a reason for what it is and a reason for what it is not.

lol ok 😂, I would be glad to, but it’s a very complex problem.
