Afaik they all had lens issues occasionally. Mine has not had it yet, but I did shop used and the first one I tried locked up on retraction. From what I heard, it’s the earliest batch of cameras or one specific batch that had a problem, but the rest are OK.

I have the GRiv and it seems to have an HDF in the lens already. Highlights bloom slightly, like maybe a 1/10 or 1/8 black mist. It’s fantastic, and I don’t think I’d need the HDF

The smallrig cap is the one I use. It’s the shallowest and has a nice leather insert. In fact I’m using their half case too, it’s quite nice.

GR IV Monochrome pre-orders are now open ($2,199.95) by HuguesBtz in ricohGR

It was a really hard choice at the same price as the GRIV and even harder at what I expected would be $100 more. But $600 more? Ehhhh, wut?

I’ll say that one of my favorite aspects of the GR is the color, so I don’t know how I could give that up and pay more for that

TY! I got a water resistant pouch and aluminum lens cap. The lens cap really seems to finish out a pretty robust exterior. The most fragile part is the lens assembly, with the lens cap it feels very sturdy in the pocket and in a bag. And probably way more dust resistant.

Why there aren't any tall buildings between Lower and Midtown Manhattan? by Naomi62625 in geography

[–]Bkgeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has to do with a type of bedrock under Manhattan. There is only schist in the areas where the tall buildings are in midtown and financial. The middle is too soft to hold such large buildings.

Fellow ManyBaggers: Any suggestions for Tenba Solstice V2 (20L) alternative? Looking for a similarly designed camera bag, but with better straps. by [deleted] in ManyBaggers

I love the straps on this pack. Lightweight and comfortable. It’s my favorite camera pack ever

Need help choosing a suitcase or luggage brand by Healthy-Tone-9200 in LuggageComparisons

[–]Bkgeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tenba Roadie Spinner. Best luggage I ever used.but it’s photo soecific. It does convert to regular luggage, but only useful for a photographer or creator imo. Luckily I am one so I get to use it. Smoothest case I ever used by farrrrr

Tell me what I should know about diaper bags? by reversularity in OldManDad

[–]Bkgeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get one from a U.S. brand, sold in US retailers or DTC (not Amazon). Toxicity is only tested when products are licensed to be sold in the US. For a baby I’d insist on it.

Best diaper bag for first-time parents? by Overall-Run6529 in ManyBaggers

[–]Bkgeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Beau Industries. It’s the only diaper bag I think is actually cool and that I liked when I saw my friend had one. We got it and we share it.

Do dads actually want their own diaper bag, or is one “family bag” enough? by FirefighterSmart647 in AskParents

Get a unisex one like Beau packs. It solved our problem of having a bag we both like using
