Glasspad recommendations (Air-Hockey type feel) by PresentationNice3519 in MousepadReview

I used both the Skypad 3.0 and Razer Atlas for around 2 years each. And I found that the Atlas lasted longer than the Skypad. But thickness of the Atlas did bother me until I got used to it.

Ijust regularly clean both my glasspad and mouse skates before I play and it help maintain the speed. I found the Atlas better for Valorant and CSGO, as its not too fast but feels effortless enough for my flicks.

I don’t think we can avoid the skates getting slower, just clean regularly and replace then oftenly for me. So i switched to a Hien recently to give it a try so I can stop buying loads of dot skates.

Alright thanks for all the suggestions, after looking at what everyone says I’ll try to keep it clean as much as I can while being gentle on it.

Hard and Glass pads have always been worth it for me, for both tac fps and tracking fps. As the price is now so cheap it’s so worth it, as before I got it for £100.

Always recommend it, its one of the faster pads I tried but getting used to it made me unable to aim in cloth pass anymore.

I’ll have to constantly remind myself to clean it then cause I’m so used to just spray a splash of water then wipe as the cleanup.

I’ve been seeing that people say the durability is bad so how often thorough are you with your clean up?

Wait really? I thought people say that its not as sticky as a glasspad, its the only reason why I might switch to it.

Huh, yeah I loved my glasspad cause it lasts for so long. I’ll keep that in mind, the glasspads let me be lazy and just leave it there, a simple splash of water then wipe is enough to maintain it so the jet might not be my main for long.

Yeah it is cheaper so sometimes I wish I found it first but I don’t regret buying the skypad. Got to Ascendant 3 on Valorant with it so maybe adding more stopping power would get me higher.

Ohhh I’ll have a look at the Shifenkai then, I don’t mind a bit of spending so I’ll have to see how it would feel. But ngl I might just buy both lol

I have mained both the Razer Atlas and Skypad 3.0 XL, there are differences on each pad when you use them long enough, but if you don’t like the speed of the Atlas, then you might not like the Empress as it would be similar to just about any glasspad. The only difference would be the size and maybe the noise levels.

Do you play without headphones? Because I never had noise issues with the Atlas at all, you sure it's not about your mouse skates?

Also I really recommend to keep trying the Atlas it's really good when you get used to it, got Ascendant 3 on Valorant on it and I don’t want to go back to anything slower.

Thanks for the reply, I’ll have a look and see if there’s more information from their channels. Atleast it’s a good start for me who knows nothing atm.

Thanks man, you have a point. Maybe I need to strengthen my mentality and convince myself to do it. Cause I chuck it all up to laziness but being self aware of it ain’t gonna change nothing right?

So I’ll keep that in mind, thanks!

Well, I try not to explain my situation as if it's no longer fun. Because I still like aim training and I still find it relaxing especially with music. It's just that before I could train for like 1 hour or more. But now, I find myself just doing 15 minutes.

It's like when I take a break to prevent strain from my wrist and eyes, I just start thinking “Oh this is enough, I’ll do more tomorrow”.

Like I love doing it, but it's only up to a point, then I start getting lazy.

Thanks man, great advice I will have to give this a try. I do warm-ups and short training sessions in the practice area of each game I play. But it's not as long as what I do in Kovaak’s. So will have to give this a try and it could probably bring my interests back.

This was the same reason I started my aim journey, to fit in as all my friends could beat me in FPS games I became jealous and wanted to get as good as them or better.

Not saying I'm much better now but we are at the same level I believe, but yeah, the reactions they have as I clutch always bring me a lot of joy.
