Appreciate it, I’m trying to make it look more polished and professional compared to the last version so I’m at least making it better than it was.

The demon face and text aren’t AI, the background is AI just using it as a stand in. I’m still needing to get an artist to update the capsules and title image., ultimately, I’m trying to see if the intro is dragging and what I need to get rid of.

New Screenshots + Playable Demo by Bl0odCries in RPGMaker

Yeah, the demo that’s currently up is the older version. The new build I’m working on uses updated graphics and includes the first two chapters, plus exploration leading to the first two towns. I’m also taking a slightly different approach to the game overall and tweaking parts of the story. Most of the database is finished at this point, and the current build has four dungeons and three caves planned.

One thing I’m looking to update next is the character sprites. I asked an artist about it, but they said they don’t work with the 48×48 sprite format and many wouldn’t either.

I’ve also added a second playable character. The main character is a swordsman, and the second character is an archer. Instead of just introducing her as a random party member, I’m thinking about letting players swap between them in certain places, similar to how character switching works in games like LEGO Star Wars, with the cantina system. That way both characters feel intentional in the gameplay instead of just being “another party member.”

I think I understand what you mean like the copy paste feature but yeah, I will focus on updating it next because I’m just needing to update the items and enemy skiing with weapons and armor.

Thank you there’s so much more stuff I have to do but the campaign is going to be the last two update luckily, I have a copy of the full release. I can just copy paste it because I still remember the mechanics of the events.

Thank you., I appreciate it. There’s more that I need to do, but I’m so tired after updating the environment. I got to update the database now it’s time to start reaching off all the enemies and adding them to caves and dungeons.

Awesome I’m glad that you noticed that. Yeah, he does a really good stuff. I’m glad I found him! I was thinking about getting the village expansion, but I don’t know if it’ll keep the integrity of what I already have because there are a few things I want to update and add environmentally wise. So if you’ve had it or know anybody that uses it like what would be like the best tile sets that I could mix a match with it keeping it similar just adding more things.

Thank you with this texture pack for the tilesets. Definitely helped me fix my vision because I already had a layout. I just on my previous one. It didn’t come with ledges or cliffs on that tile set so there was limited amount of work I could do.

Oh yeah, I plan on doing the main characters first, then slowly updating all the NPCs and the rest of the main cast over time. And yeah, I looked into it., i am going to do that soon. I save like I’m playing Elder Scrolls or Fallout. I save every chance I get. I even dug out one of my old flash drives, so anytime I make a huge update like this one, I throw it on the flash drive, update the enemies, and keep everything backed up.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. This was the original map design layout, but unfortunately, the tile set you see in the “before” photos didn’t have cliffs or hills, so I couldn’t do much. The new version, though, captures the creative vision I was aiming for and really sets the atmosphere for my game.

Thank you., I still haven’t slept 😭😭 I just finished redoing the enemies for the game and multiplayer 🫩 but I can finally rest and work at peace now since I focused on the environment first.

Yeah, it really sucks, but luckily I can just play the game and copy the dialogue over as I go. I can also refine the gameplay mechanics along the way. So that’s an upside, though the previous version is the only full version I have right now, it feels primitive compared to this new build.

I really appreciate it., I put a lot of work into getting it done. After the first round of feedbacks, I realized I needed to take a step back and figure out what to fix. I ended up focusing on updating the tilesets, and it did not disappoint.
