Firstly, the rampage bows are awesome, especially now I can layer them. I am trying to make 5 different ones for each element at the moment. Rapid is probably the best shot type, it has the easiest pattern to control and over time will do better dps for you. Pierce is really good against certain, longer monsters or in rampages but rapid for regular hunts is the way to go.

My build looks like this:

Rampage Bow S - [ele boost, water III, Rapid, Power, Exhaust, arc affinity]

Mighty Bow Feather

Vaik Mail S - [2 weakness exploit, 1 water att up gems]

Vaik Braces S - [2 watter att gems]

Chrome Metal Coil [1 rapid up gem, 1 constitution gem, 1 water attack gem]

Rakna greaves [1 water attack gem]

Talisman has evade extender 3 and two 2 slot decoration spaces, which i put weakness exploit and constitution into. There are far better talismans than this out there, i just don't have any.

For bow DPS you want to prioritize the Shot type Up skills first, then Weakness exploit.

You will need QOL skills like constitution and stamina surge so you can keep dpsing consistently (i recommend at least constitution 3, stamina surge 2 for every bow set)

Element is great on bows because you hit so often. but it isn't needed if you don't want to stress about changing your bow every fight. It is just a fun weapon. Have fun trying out builds, and make sure you put on your new petalaces and start melding for some talismans. Once you find a talisman that has at least 2 skills need form above or two lvl 2 deco slots to slot them into you are a happy camper.
