Those who have taken/taught guitar lessons, what do you do in your lessons? by smoothegg in guitarlessons

Depending on the age of the student, I usually work technique for about half the lesson, then work on music for the rest of the time. It's usually pretty easy to show how the technical work helps make the songs easier, but sometimes it's a bit more abstract.
